We love this park and come every year. It gets 4 stars though because there is little to no shade. Trees will grow in and in 10 years it will be perfect. Great amenities, clean park, quiet and fun for kids. The beach was a little overgrown with seaweed but it's free admission. Geese have taken over with poo everywhere but not quite sure how you fix that. Kids had fun fishing and we walked the entire paved trail around the lake. Will be back again next year.

This was our third time staying here. It’s absolutely the best camping: gorgeous 360 views, stunning wildlife, tidy and welcoming facilities, and friendly staff.
Restrooms: Well-lit, well-stocked, CLEAN bathrooms and showers.

Gorgeous state park. Loved the tiered parking for campers which allowed everyone to have a great view of the lake. Clean beach, plenty of docks and well kept trails.

I've been staying in a lot of campgrounds lately. And lake Anita SP is by far the best. It's pretty easy to see that the people taking care of this park work very hard. Everything from the picnic tables to the showers to the restrooms, everything is very well taken care of. Thank you to all the people that work there. I Will definitely be back.
Restrooms: Very clean, well maintained.

Been camping here since I was little. It's one of my favorite places to kill a weekend. I love bringing my bike to hit the bike trail. Everyone there is always respectful and it's well maintained.

Worst camping experience ever! You can't play music even extremely low on your phones after 10. Everyone listens to everything you say and calls the DNR if you cuss. Pointless going camping here when your just trying to relax from working all week. You also can only have one tent in your campsite and any electric scooters or hoverboards are not allowed. They tell you when that after ten it's bedtime I'm sorry but I'm adult I do try to respectful around my fellow campers but this was ridiculous! Never going again

Tent camped here one night last week and found it to be a hidden gem. The centerpiece is a scenic lake with a paved, 4 mile-trail that circles it. Perfect place for an evening run. I camped during the week, so the campground was almost completely empty. Never saw a park employee, but the seasonal campground hosts seemed attentive.
I dropped two stars because the tent camping loop is regrettably situated RIGHT next to a golf course, so you get to hear every shot taken, quickly followed by cussing and grumbling over each lousy shot. There are also several homes nearby with owners that are perfectly content to let their mongrels barks and howl incessantly into the night. AND a long train rumbled through the areas at 2:30 AM blasting it's horn incessantly. So, sadly, not a very peaceful area to find 40 winks.

It's a pretty location, right on the water, very clean, on 2 or 3 levels. Good showers & very nice playground for children. One of our preferred places to camp overnight.
