I had a delightful stay a few weeks ago, a big thanks to Sophia at the front desk. Her warm welcome and pleasant demeanor made our arrival a truly enjoyable experience.

Nice new hotel...probably the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in!

Check in very easy, mobile key was fantastic, hotel clean and well kept up. Pillows & beds very comfortable, even the pull out couch wasn't bad. Plenty of towels and sheets/blankets available. We will definitely stay here again & again.

A man named Amon Goeth kept knocking on my door he said that he was apart of a boys scoot troop looking through the peep hole I see a fat middle aged man with a tank top under armour shorts and a patchy beard he kept trying to brake in and I called the front desk and they stated “oh that’s just Jerry!”Nearby activities: Parking lot

This hotel is fairly new. Some work was still being finished or possibly redone in the hallways on the baseboards. I loved that I was able to download an app to check in on the way and use a mobile key to get into our room easily since we arrived late at night. I really liked the modern feel of the room and bathroom. I really appreciated the make up remover wipe provided in the bathroom! Great use of the space. It fit our family of five well and could easily accommodate six. I was really impressed by the hotel breakfast. It looked really nice and the quality was the best I've had at a complimentary hotel breakfast. The lobby had plenty of space for guests to sit and enjoy breakfast. The pool was oddly small, but my sons still enjoyed it and I enjoyed the lounge chair in the area. I would give preference to other locations of Springhill Suites because of this experience.

Just meh. There are a handful of things that just get annoying after a few days. You have to have your hotel key for every dang door on the entire property. Entrance gate, lobby door, elevator, pool, and room. The need for the key for the elevator got old quick.Secondly, the bathroom door is in the middle of the room and it's not a real door, it's sliding barn door with frosted glass. So if someone has to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and turns the light on, you may as well be turning on the light for the entire room. It looks pretty but has zero practicality. There's also no fan in the bathroom so it impossible to keep the entire room from getting humid after a shower.House cleaning never came on the third day and the phone didn't work to call down. The room is spacious with 2 queens, and a couch and a huge closet. The refrigerator only stays cold for 2 hours, you have to keep pressing an ON button for it to stay cooling.Breakfast was decent, coffee and fixing were good. Pool was nice and clean. It was walking distance to the beach and in a quiet location.

Hotel is located within 5 mins of highway and downtown area. Room was very spacious and staff members were very friendly and helpful. Microwave and mini-fridge were very great additions. Full service breakfast (with waffle maker) was greatly appreciated. Convenience store within walking distance of hotel. Would stay again without hesitation.

Stayed 1 night with my family (2 adults + 2 toddlers) and was very pleased with the size of the rooms, comfortable beds, ability to control room temp AND fan, and great breakfast. My kids slept on the pull out sleeper sofa, which was actually comfortable, believe it or not. The room was amazingly quiet at night so all slept well. Breakfast was better than most 'free breakfast' hotels, with a waffle station, biscuits & gravy, eggs, premade sandwiches, oatmeal, yogurts, carbs (breads, scones, bagels), juice machine, and a couple other odds and ends.

Stayed many times at this location in Ames. Always had awesome service. Breakfast is above average for a hotel. Easy to find and get to.

We stayed at the SpringHill Suites for 2 nights. The room was spacious and met our needs for relaxing as well as for getting some work done. It was quiet. The continental breakfast was great. This hotel met all of our needs. I would stay at this hotel again if I return to Ames. I would have no hesitation with recommending this hotel to friends and family.

This is a very new hotel. It was clean and the room was good size. They had lots of modern considerations like USB ports and plugins around the room and on both sides of the bed. They have the smallest hotel pool I have ever seen. The breakfast offers oatmeal with a variety of toppings, fruit, biscuits and gravy, made fresh waffles, cereal, milk, juice, powdered eggs, bagels, scones, pre packaged breakfast sandwiches, and yogurt. The shower drips on the drain and it sounds like rain on a steel drum (see video) which drove my wife nuts. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was due to the air conditioner being right next to the bed and it blew across the bed our heads and and faces all night long giving us headaches. I ended up having to put the office chair in front of it to block it as it was too hot to turn it off.

Hotel was newish and relatively clean. They need more staff as there was rarely anyone at the front desk. No safe in the room I was in.

We appreciated the suite set up & the large bathroom! Nice breakfast options also. Would not have expected to find such a nice place while traveling through Iowa. Thanks!
