Younger female Vet was arrogant, self righteous, and rude. They hurt my cat with treatment I knew I shouldn't have allowed. Would never recommend.

Had some terrible experiences with the care from vet staff. The pricing is even worse. Would not recommend

I've been taking my 2 cats to Somerset Vet on a consistent basis ever since we moved to the area in 2021. The staff are always patient and caring with my shy babies, and they consistently provide excellent service, answering all of my questions. Their hours of operation (open until 10 pm CST!) and cleanliness standards are great, too.

EDIT: I want to leave my review up as it is true, but also add info. Today, I spoke further with the owner. They do typically disassemble and re-assemble carriers for cats to reduce fear rather than just opening the door, which led to the accident described below. I do think they should inform the owners of this so that they can double-check the carrier is secure upon pickup, as I had no idea I would need to re-check its assembly.
I am convinced that the vets were also upset by this occurrence, and therefore they are likely to be very aware of secure carrier re-assembly in future. I am glad that this negative review will hopefully have the positive consequence of keeping other pets safe in future. This happened, and it could have been very bad, but it ended with everyone ok. I hope this will be taken seriously and become the impetus to be incredibly careful about carrier re-assembly in future, for the employees and myself!
Original 1-star review: Put my cat in UNACCEPTABLE DANGER by not securing his carrier.
Today, I picked my cat up from a routine dental appointment. Whoever put him in his carrier DID NOT SECURE IT. The carrier has a separable top and bottom portion which are secured by 5 latches as well as the swinging door that has its own latch. Of course, when we brought him in this morning the top and bottom portions were secured in place, and I had no idea that they would take the carrier apart at any point!! However, when I picked him up this afternoon, the carrier appeared to be closed but in fact it must have been taken apart at some point and not put back together correctly – one of the 5 latches connecting the top and bottom was closed by NOT FULLY LATCHED (not actually engaged). Because of this, the top and bottom parts of the carrier gapped open when I lifted him out of the car, spilling him out into the parking lot! He was rightly very scared by falling out and therefore hard to catch.
Amazingly, I was able to catch him, so he is inside now and ok. But he was in incredible danger because of the negligence of Somerset vets in deconstructing the carrier for some reason and then failing to ensure it was reconstructed properly. He was terrified and loose in a parking lot (at the time with no collar—because it was also removed by the vet!!) where he could easily have been killed.
I will never entrust my animals to Somerset vets again, and I will be sure to tell my friends to do the same.

We were able to arrange a last-minute appointment in the evening when our local veterinary office was closed, and everybody here was super helpful in getting our pet's issues addressed.

Did not have a good experience with Dr. Crane. Did not address our concerns and seemed not to care much. Did not provide detailed information and did poor examination. The vet technician was good and caring.

Dr. Gubbels is amazing and we really love him as our preferred vet. He’s very attentive to issues with our two dogs without trying to upsell us on unnecessary tests/procedures and we completely trust his opinions/recommendations. In our experience over the years, he is very good at dealing with all types of dog personalities and making sure they all feel comfortable during their examination and vaccinations. Our dogs are both very different from each other, but they both are comfortable in his care/while getting tests and vaccines from him and his veterinary assistants.
My partner and I highly recommend him to any owners of dogs, especially those who are having sudden behavioral changes or dogs who are mixed breed and may not adhere to the known standards of either breed they came from. Im sure he is great with other pets as well.

I do enjoy the employees and the doctors. However, this place will price gouge you more than other vet's in the area, and severely lack education I would expect from a vet's office.
They charged me $300 more for a tooth removal than I would of paid at other locations. Unfortunately I didn't ask around as this was happening because my dog was in a lot of pain and I wanted it gone asap.
When my dog was spayed at this location they did not provide a cone for her, I even requested one when i picked her up but they refused saying it was unnecessary. In my life, having dozens of spayed/neutered cats and dogs, I have never had an animal sent home without a cone. The day following the surgery I had to buy one, as she was trying to lick her incision. My dog also had an allergic reaction to the meds and had severe diarrhea and vomiting, they had me wait until 3 days after the surgery before they would provide a different form of pain medication. They were under the impression her reaction was to the surgery, when it was very clearly the medication.
When my dog was a puppy she had tapeworms as well. I kept taking her in for fecal samples. She was eating 2x what she should of been and losing weight. I could also SEE the tapeworm segments in her poop, but they said the fecal tests were negative. I had them run another fecal test and began her on over-the-counter dewormers, because I knew this couldn't possible be true. They then tell me that she is STILL negative to tapeworms, but she had giardia and told me the double the duration of the over-the-counter dewormer. Thankfully this did cure her of giardia (and tapeworms), but I don't have faith in whatever company they are sending their samples out to test with. They couldn't diagnose tapeworms with rice sized pieces of the worm in it.

I can not say enough good things about this place! They took our sweet girl in and provided her with amazing care! Dr. Rivers and her team were the best. They not only provided her with great care and were very knowledgeable, they also took the time to make sure we understood it all and what are options were going forward. This is 100% the place I would recommend to anyone!

Amazing place! I have both been to and worked for several vets in my life. And I felt like this was one was one of the best! Even though I was early, they got me in a room right away which helped my cat’s stress. The staff was very kind and patient with my angry cat. They took my concerns seriously and ran the price of diagnostics by me before continuing to make sure I was okay with it all. The vet (Dr. Dovenberg) was very knowledgeable and was great to explain in detail her findings. When she sent me home with meds, she first double checked any medication interactions that could be a problem with the medications my cat is currently on. I felt like that was an extra step that I don’t see done very often and I really appreciated it. My cat’s issue is on going and I plan to be coming back to this vet for his continued care. I trust them with my pet.

Absolutely love this place! Very clean, considerate staff, the lobby is sectioned off for cats/dogs to prevent any raucous. Dr. Kate was Miss Pepper's physician, and though she did not enjoy her tummy being touched (who does really) she enjoyed her time there. Especially the extra Churu snacks! She napped after her vaccines and getting her nails done ? I highly recommend Dr. Kate and the rest of the staff as they took great care of Pepper.
