I don't know anything about this company but they are fantastic. I was parked in front of their building one day and accidentally dropped my wallet down and one of their employees picked it up for me and wrote a note on my car. It saved me so much time and money I can't thank them enough Please go buy something from them these kind people don't exist anymore these days!

The owner is misrepresenting what happened. The first thing I did upon entering the property (which was entirely empty and not busy by any stretch of the imagination) was ask if I could sit on the couch and read for a bit. I was waiting for a friend and did not think I owed an explanation, and he was also in the market for lotion and body wash, so he was a potential customer.
When the owner says "long periods of time," they are blatantly misrepresenting how long I was there. I could not have been there for more than 20 minutes, simply reading and not interacting with anybody, making it a point of being as quiet as possible on a couch nobody else was sitting in.
Please note this establishment has vast room for seating, and the place was almost entirely empty during the time I spent in the furthest and most unobtrusive corner of the room.
Also misrepresented is "the interaction was friendly." The owner spoke shortly to me and regarded me as though I was a nuisance. On behalf of my friend I asked some questions about some of the products, but by this time the owner had no interest in helping me and was eager to get rid of me. There is nothing "friendly" about asking somebody to leave a store, and while what the owner choses to do with their property is their choice, I think this is rude and ridiculous behavior.
If you don't want people to sit in your store, throw out the couch.

I love thrifting vessels and bringing them into Oak Lane to choose a scent to fill it with! Perfect for a teacups and mugs that are all over thrift stores. Makes a great thoughtful and unique gift!

I discovered Oak Lane candles several years ago and have never looked back! They seriously are the best smelling candles i’ve ever found and on top of all of that, the owner is seriously the sweetest!

Oak Lane has great-smelling soy candles! Staff is nice and helpful, and they have cloths, jewelry and other items you can browse. I've done the candle bar a few times with friends, and it was so much fun!

The Pour Bar: What a lovely Friday afternoon gift from my girlfriends! I am an amateur candler, and Stacy taught us SO much. The soft aromas and ambience in her store are intoxicating. We each crafted our perfect candle. And did a little boutique shopping on the side! Highly HIGHLY recommended! ps. Soy wax only :-)

I lovvvvvvvvvvvve this shop. The character of the building itself is beautiful and welcoming. ? It’s a candle shop, so of course it smell amazing. It’s clean, well kept, which can be tricky with having so much different inventory (because it’s so much more than just candles!!). I have gifted so many people her candles, and with more and more people taking notices of toxins in their homes, it’s a peace of mind there too. I’ve done the pour bar here with a group of my family members, and it’s a super fun experience to do together and then you get the amazing party favor. ? I’ve had a great experience with any and all employees from day one of opening- but the shop owner is just GOOD PEOPLE. The kind that feels like “home” and not the ones that are pushy or a feeling that making sales is the only priority. This is even the case when seeing Oak Lane at events/markets like the DSM Farmer’s Market. GO, go find your treasures at Oak Lane nowwww! (Also, I love rocking their merch.)

Oak Lane Candle Co is the best. There is a scent for you, no matter what you’re in to. The pour bar is fantastic- being able to customize and have an inside look into the process, so much fun.
