Sadly purchased a 2013 Kia Sorrento thinking I was buying a great car. Less than 24 hours later..the car is now inoperable, as it sounds like the front end is completely falling apart on the vehicle. After reaching out to Lithia, I was basically told, "It sucks to be you." As a new widow, who is now out $13,000...please take your money/business elsewhere. I now understand why their finance guy tried pushing the $3,900 service add on so aggressively. He was clearly sending me a warning signal. Lesson learned. Seriously, take your business elsewhere.

Quick, efficient and spoke to me with respect and didn't assume I was mechanically ignorant.

WORST SERVICE EVER! DO NOT USE!! Brought my car in for power steering issue which told me it would be done the same day. They did not finish, and left me without a car unexpectedly for 3 days! No loner options.

Did a nice job servicing my car, in and out within an hour but WAY expensive. Didn't honor my coupons. Can save money staying in Ankeny rather than driving to Ames. Surprisingly the prices in Ankeny are lower. That rarely happens.

When I decided to make this purchase, I really stressed on my pre-gaming. I researched. I found the car. I found the dealership. I got pre-qualified. I scheduled a test drive. I printed out my paperwork. I *literally* set myself up for an almost in & out scenario. Car Sales Guy (CSG) from Lithia could have the easiest sale he's had. Was it? We'll find out in... DEATH OF A SALESMAN...'S SALE (kinda) (abridged) 1. I made the arrangement for my purchase in such a way where I could simply show up, test drive, and paperwork. "Thank you, CSG." "Thank YOU, Ben." End of day. When I got there, CSG & I whisked confidently to the vehicle. He went to grab the keys. As I waited, I noticed something large in the passenger seat. CSG returned with a slightly less amount of confidence. He uttered those sweet words ever customer loves to hear. "So...It's still drivable." I took pause, "okay..." He unlocked the vehicle. I saw a steering wheel. A seat. A shifter. I did *not* see the INSIDE of my door! Then I did see it. On the passenger seat. And another. In the back. I was mute. CSG explained, quietly, the service station was waiting for a piece and it didn't come in time. Now, I would love to think that their service station works as swiftly as possible, but I was 15min. early; not 15 days. As the doors exposed themselves in their shame to us he sort of ho-hummed, "Did you want to still drive it?" I was a bit in shock, but knew this wasn't CSG's fault. I stuttered, "Y-yeah..." I got in. CSG, couldn't. There was A DOOR INTERIOR in the passenger seat. He got in the back. I was now chauffeuring my car salesman in awkward silence for about 2min. Accepting the position I was in, I went into 'uber driver' mode. "So, are you from here originally?" I did the shortest test drive ever. CSG, always the gentleman, opened my door for me. As I had no door handle to get out. After a few more awkward asides, he said he'd contact me when it was fixed. II. About week after, CSG called. I gave him a time and limit. I had to be out on the road about 6:00(ish) but I had all things ready. He said it all looked good. We should be set. Not an issue. ha. hahahaha. I get in. CSG is ready. I am ready. We. Are. Ready. We exchanged hellos. I check out the vehicle. It has doors. Check. We hop over to the Finance Guy (FG). "It'll be just about 5-10 minutes. He's working with someone else, but you are next." 5min. 10min. 15min. 30min. I watch my wait time double over & over; you'd think it was GameStop stock. We get to a point where I need to leave. I could no longer wait. CSG said, "You are next." "I can't wait anymore." I explain that it's okay. I'll just take my vehicle and be back tomorrow to finish things up. He then gave me more good news that he already switched the plates and I could not take my vehicle (I was swapping). Delightful. But I just reiterated I need to leave. He elaborated that they had more people but one quit and so now they were short-staffed. When we agreed on the time the guy was still working there so we would have been fine. Delightful. CSG needs to go to a casino with luck he has. FG pops out, says we'll finish tomorrow & - guess what - they'll even let me take their vehicle. (as if there was a choice) It was well passed my appointment by the time I got back. III. I made appt #3 and tried to stress how I had 1hr. We are on a strict time limit. It worked really well for me last time so I assumed the best. (ha.) After another 5min. becoming 30min. FG finally got us going. Do you remember all that pre-qualifying I did? Well, not good enough for FG. He ended up running my credit anyway. He tried, hard, to upsell & we had a back/forth on pricing...again...I was already approved. I didn't have to any of this. He tried to tell me that my pre-qual was incorrect and I needed to pay...quite a bit more. I was about to walk-out until he n

Dan was amazing to work with! He was extremely patient, kind and made the process very easy. Before I left, he sat with me and helped me understand all the features of my new car. I will recommend Dan at Lithia Nissan to anyone looking for a new vehicle.
