They do such an amazing job at keeping us in the loop with the care for our pup! I love all the staff and would choose nowhere else for our vet care!! They put us at such ease when they take our pup back! Natalie had been amazing!

Will not be taking my animals back here any time soon. I took my cat here because I was worried that she had gotten into something poisonous. I told the people at the front desk about this and they gave me the choice to either pay a $150 fee or pay $95 dollars for an information hotline. WTF? On top of this they were completely uncaring and diminished my concerns. Looking things up online offered way more help than anyone there did. They clearly care way more about money than the actual wellbeing of animals. I'd give them no stars if I could.

My dog went blind.. I went to see if they could help me and all I heard was money for test no real solution. I was quoted $600 for test that came back completely normal.. they told me she had high blood pressure then needed to run more test that would have been another $400 when asked for an itemized copy of the receipt my total went down to $445 I told them just give me medication for her blood pressure I'll take her somewhere else. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME

Horrible, horrible, horrible is the best description of Lloyd Veterinary hospital. My pet had surgery at this facility, (which cost several thousand dollars). My dog experienced medical complications post surgery. At a time of great pain and distress to my dog, I immediately called them to have her seen. We were turned away and told to go to another facility. I am a board certified veterinary technician and have worked at and dealt with several clinic and hospitals over my 20 yr career. Never in my time of owning pets nor working with pets, have I seen a clinic turn away their own surgical patient which was having post surgical complications. This is absolutely unacceptable for a hospital to turn away their own patient. As a result of a failed surgery, performed at Lloyd Veterinary hospital, my dog required another surgery. As a result of a second anesthetic procedure in a short period of time, my dog went into cardiac arrest and was unable to be resuscitated. As a heart broken owner and veterinary professional this is an absolute nightmare!!!

We had an incredible experience with the ISU vet hospital. We adopted a German Shepherd rescue who has separation anxiety and was pretty severely underweight. They got us in for an appointment within a few days of adopting him and our customer service and care experience was above and beyond. One of the fourth-year ISU students took care of us and she was great, as was the Vet Dr. Jennifer. They were very honest with us but also provided a high level of care. You can tell they care about the animals they serve and are a highly trained team of vets. It's always an added bonus to be able to visit a facility that has students in training--you get the best care all around!

I brought my cat Toby in on a Saturday afternoon (7/02/2022) a holiday weekend. He had started limping, was in discomfort/pain, and just not himself. I called and they took my info and said they would be ready when I came in. They promptly took him back to be examined, came to let me know how things were going, and kept me informed. Later I was notified of 2 options. Kept me informed about the price & what was best for the care. I ended up choosing to take him home with meds until I could get him an X-ray with his primary vet later this week. I was never pressured to do the more expensive route, rather that this route (the cheaper one) might be more ideal as even if something was found emergency surgery was highly unlikely since his physical exam did not show any major red flags. The price was really not that bad (I was worried), physical exam, 2 types of meds, bloodwork, and orthopedic exam came out to under $300. Wait time was a little long but emergency vet works just like emergency rooms- critical is bumped up vs acute issues, my cat wasn't at risk for immediate issues like death so I had no problem waiting and fully understand! I was extremely happy with how the staff/students behaved and the whole process. Thank you for taking such good care of my sweet fur baby (although I'm sure he wasn't as sweet as he is when he's at home). Ps- they aren't going to give you a hard price quote of what all services will cost over the phone! You can't call a human ER and say how much is it going to cost if I come in with X problem! The receptionist most likely is not a vet and can not give a diagnosis over the phone and risk that responsibility! Come on it is common sense!

We took our dog to the pet emergency room under terrible circumstances on New Year's Eve. The veterinarian and vet techs were remarkably kind and understanding. They handled our unfortunate situation in the best way. I have dealt with other vets who I would not trust to handle it as well as even the vet student handled it.
