“It was a one-nighter which is always perfect with this brand of hotel. We don't expect a lot of amenities so it was enjoyable to have a manager on duty shows us lots of attention. The hotel was not busy so we checked in early. We had laundry to do which made this stay that much more valuable. The locations is a little off the beaten path, surrounded by other chain hotels. But getting in and out was easy. A very pleasant stay. ”

“I am very displease. We stayed here last Friday and what a mess. We asked for a jacuzzi room. We needed it due to our lengthy travel. When I turned on the jets, of what I was told, of a newly remodeled tub...... the jet shot water out over the top of the filled tub. It soaked everything from the tub clear to the other side of the room. We asked to be moved. The next room was horrible! We weren't discounted for the down grade as we were told. I asked to have a Manger call me and still no call. Rotten service!Update (1/27) I have called & left to more message for the manager. No call back still!”

“We were traveling from Nebraska to Wisconsin and stayed here one night. We had a beautiful King Suite with whirlpool.The staff was friendly, the lobby warm and welcoming, and the price was excellent. I highly recommend it.Keep up the good work, Country Inn and Suites!”

“The rooms were very clean and I liked the lighting throughout the hotel and the rooms. However, the water pressure in the shower was extremely low, and the water was not able to get very hot at all. The bathroom door also didn't have any locks on it.”

“You could vastly and easily improve the hotel's initial impression, which is pretty important to travelers. Upon entering, I wondered if we'd made a mistake booking here. The entryway was full of dead leaves and carpets were worn and needed a vacuum. The main staircase needed vacuuming as well. Our hallway and room carpet looked new and clean, however, so I began to feel better about the place. The chair in our sitting area had noticeable white dirt on it that looked like something that could be cleaner rather easily. The room was comfortable and very quiet which was greatly appreciated! Kudos for that!Rooms: King-room with separate seating area/kitchenette very comfortable and the bedroom was awesomely quiet -- no hallway or adjoining room noise; outside noise was minimal.Noteworthy details: Nice location -- easy to find and get to; easy to access all of Ames.”

“We spent a few days there during the blizzard in January as our daughter’s wedding was close by in Boone.Thank you for letting us invade your lobby, conference room and working with us over and over to find and cancel rooms as our plans changed with the weather. Thank you for making a special lunch menu just so we could eat during the storm and sharing your calm demeanor as we changed our plans over and over and over again. Thanks for extending grace and sharing your hospitality. You made our blizzard wedding weekend so much more comfortable! If we need to stay in the Ames area again, I know where it will be.What could have been an incredibly stressful weekend turned out perfect thanks to your help. The little things go a long way and we appreciate you.”

“I do not recommend this hotel!! The shower surround is broken, mold on ceiling and mold in bathroom, stained bedding, wires hanging out of ceiling where a light fixtures should be, bed springs are bad in mattress and stained looking towels. The pictures on the website are not true to what you will actually be staying in. I typically don't write reviews, but the pictures are not what you ate getting. As I came on to review, I decided to read others and clearly as mentioned months ago from these reviews nothing has been fixed. I highly recommend staying some place else!!!”
“I had a scheduling mix-up with making my reservation and my friend and I had arrived very late at night, and they were so wonderful to help us so quickly despite the late hour! We were made a wonderful breakfast the next morning which was delicious! I have never been at a place so helpful, kind, and understanding. Will 100% be coming back when I visit my friend on campus again!Rooms: Wonderful rooms with very comfortable beds and amazingly nice bathrooms!”
