“There are a lot of lodging options in Ames, and we have found this to be one of the top places. It's a combination of location, customer service, quality of rooms, amenities, and pricing. As a Marriott lifetime Titanium, my bar is high, and I like this hotel.”

“Great place to stay in Ames.. New hotel. Good breakfast, pool looked nice, didn't use this visit. No hot tub. Has outside seating with fire table. Looks nice, next time. Tons were very clean and nice. They have the annoying card slot for master power. If it's a big deal get an extra card or any CC sized card will work in it's place to keep the power on in the room. Will stay again. Def worth the price. Good value.”

“My daughter and I loved this place. Very clean, beds were comfy as well. I am 6 feet tall, and my bed had a footboard that my feet hit, but I made it work. We definitely will stay again.Noteworthy details: Very homey! Amazing breakfast ?”

“We had a very nice overnight stay at your hotel. But in particular the service staff for the kitchen Sunday morning was warm and friendly, as well as the desk manager Merideth who was extremely helpfull to me personally. I had left my coat by mistake, not finding out until returning to Colorado. The housekeeping staff had secured the coat and Merideth was instrumental in getting it to a friend for pick up. I greatly appreciate all the Iowan friendliness and assistance. We will be visiting your facility again.Walkability: Close to nearby services.”

“My husband and I needed somewhere to stop on our way back home and this was perfect. They were able to check us in late, all the staff members we talked to were so kind and friendly. The room was nice, amenities included were also nice for our stop. Breakfast was good and has a lot of options! We definitely recommend staying and wish we could’ve stayed longer!”

“Our room was newly remodeled. They had good parking and decent service. The pool hours of 530am-10pm came in clutch for the kids! The location was easy to access from the highway and it wasn't that far from campus.”

“Room is spacious and clean. Good for business travelers. But only one thing just can hear neighbors noise sometimes. Gym, pool, small snack station and bar at first floor. Restaurant provides breakfast (Starbucks coffee) and dinner.”

“We like staying at hotels in college towns when the college before the typical school year begins. Typically, it means the parking lots are less crowded and the hotels are seemingly always quiet and peaceful!
This one proved no different. It’s located in what we termed “hotel row” because 16th Ave looks to be nothing but hotels.
The staff here is friendly, willing to openly share their knowledge of the area and talk about Iowa State football and basketball, and seemed genuinely appreciative that we elected to spend our money at their hotel.
I’d say this area is hopping on Saturdays during football season.
Our room was spotless, had a pleasant aroma, and the A/C worked very well. After 12 hours on the road, that’s all we ever ask for and Country Inn & Suites delivered!
Stay here. You won’t be sorry!”

“I wanted to express appreciation to the staff at the 16th St/Dayton Ave Econolodge. They were very respectful and accommodating. The rooms were nice and clean and the continental breakfast was ample. I will stay there again when I come back through Ames! Thanks to the staff at this Econolodge.Rooms: Nice, neat and clean. Nice TV. And a working phone.Safety: No worries here.”

“Beds were clean and comfortable, rooms don’t smell too weird, bathrooms are dated but functional and clean, place is fairly quiet, easy access from 35. Place felt safe. Typical cheap hotel breakfast.”

“Overall nice place and will definitely stay again. Only things to note were that when booking we somehow weren’t able to include the breakfast buffet so had to pay for that separately at breakfast. When opening the pullout couch there were no sheets and no sheet bag in the closet, called the front desk to have some brought up and was told I had to come down to the desk and grab them. Bathroom shower caulk could use a better cleaning or be redone.”
