I went to lots of different places in Ames trying to find affordable and well taken care of plants and was super impressed by the selection here!! So glad I found it! Definitely the best place to get plants especially succulents

Part greenhouse/part antique/junk store depending on how you look at it. They have a lot of good house plants there--the main reason why we came. It seems that they focus more on succulents. I found a bunch that I don't have. I've kind of exhausted all of the house plant options ? I think I spent about $80 on greenery that I didn't have and have a difficult time finding in other places. The prices seemed really fair for the midwest. The owners are really nice and welcoming which made me want to stay longer. The plants I bought were in amazing condition. No pests, no disease. It's been weeks and still no sign of either. The only thing I didn't like was that the junk was kind of taking over parts of the shop, but they like the junk. It's a touch of their personality. No big. The only thing that may be a safety concern is the floor upstairs and the stuff weighing it down. Other than that, great place!

I love this place with my whole heart. You don’t find a collection of this value often. The plants are incredible and brings me so much joy. Great place to visit

The couple running the antique shop seems very kind. The shop itself is crowded but absolutely covered in all kinds of interesting things. There is a spectacular variety of plants in the greenhouse that are well cared for. I will definitely come back at some point.
Edit: I've bought an antique bed frame from this place, it's lovely though a bit beat up. It was considerably cheap for something so old but likely due to the condition it's in. I plan to restore the bed.

Omg this place is magical. I felt like I was in a forest. So many beautiful, happy, flowering plants, a glorious maze of green, and that earthy smell that gives a gardener those warm fuzzies. I felt at home and in awe of such a magical place that from the outside looks so nondescript. Inside the store, we found amazing treasures, unique, delicate and fun snapshots of an older time that reminded me of warm memories and people I loved who are now gone. I will absolutely be going back to buy gifts and plants for myself. Their selection is phenomenal and so unique I was speechless while there. The space is packed with experiences you can only know firsthand.

The outside is unassuming, but the inside is an absolutely gorgeous, floor-to-ceiling display of beautiful antiques. From glassware to typewriters, kitchenware and even toy pop guns, looking around from area to area can reveal something new every time! The inside smells like nostalgia and feels like a liminal space, but a safe one. The proprietors are a lovely couple who are very happy to help customers. The greenhouse side has many lovely flourishing succulents and plants, and smells so sweet and fresh just looking at the flowers can make one's day. I'll be sure to go back to this beautiful, hidden-away antique shop. Some of the items we found were absolutely priceless!

I love places "similar" to this. HOWEVER, I am pretty sure this place is not legally safe. Not quite sure how it passes codes.
And to call this a greenhouse..is a stetch. Do they have plants...yes. are they well cared for....no.
Extremely disorganized, and yes you would want to quarenteen any plant you would buy there.
With alittle effort, this place could be so much more but it never changes for the better.

This place is amazing! The inside is absolutely PACKED with antiques wall to wall. It smells like heaven! The garden center is amazing as well! The woman that helped me find marigolds was so polite and seemed like a genuinely nice person. I tried to tip her and she wouldn't take my money! She said to spread the word instead, so that's what I'm doing! This was my first visit, but it won't be my last! If you like antiques and gardening and you haven't yet shopped here, do yourself a favor and head down today!

Kinda cool, but this place needs new ownership. Obvious fire hazards, too much weight on the upper floor (felt the floor warp as I walked thru the building and Im only 150 lbs) and so overpriced its entertaining. Asked about a pack of canvases (canvas's? Canvi?) That was priced at $35 for a pack of 7. Same exact ones cost $17.99 at hobby lobby. Wish I took a pic tbqh. The lady was nice though. And I think she realizes how screwy everything is but doesnt have the heart or is too tired to tell the owner. This place is strange.

This place just had a really bad energy. Over- OVER-crowded, aisles inaccessible, dark, and dingey. Saw a macrame hanger that was made of nylon rope (not macrame rope), in a style done by a beginner for $15. Saw a half empty plastic snow globe for $40. Plants were in scaley soil and buggy, and an acquarium full of water with thick, dark green algae that looks like it's been that way for years. It's a hoarders disaster and it looks like they just don't care. I could not bring myself to touch anything and I had to leave. The space felt unsafe with obvious code violations. I had heard how bananas this place was and I had to check it out for myself. No words can adequately describe this place. Hoarding aside, prices are steep for the item and not worth it to spend time sifting through the piles. Will not be going back.

The antiques were overpriced. I said to the woman that I was going to make a pipe and maybe she would make me a deal - she said No! So basically stuffed full but waaaay overpriced.

I have bought a lot of plants from here, one of my favorite places! The owners are so kind & sweet! It's nice to see how excited they get when they see customers. ?
