Hy-Vee can have some great deals but if you're just popping in for items as needed it can be way more expensive than Walmart. I will say Hy-Vee does offer a more personal touch and there are more employees who WANT to help you.

Clean, friendly place to shop, drink coffee, and meet friends. Didn't know they had a place to sit down and eat also! Just like a fancy restaurant....in a grocery store.... with food vendors all around!! COOLNESS ?
