I had to choose between 2 Rx's for the same thing (one insurance would cover the entire amount the other not so much), the pharmacy tech went above her call and told me the advantages and disadvantages of both scripts.

I ordered a refill 7 weeks ago and was told last night it would be ready today. I showed up today to pick it up. Because it took them so long to fill it, the script expired, and they now claim I can't get it. I ordered it THREE WEEKS before it expired. Don't waste your time here. Go to any other pharmacy.

Always a month out of a med / dosage chage..always (3yrs in sine moving) Lands on cvs..they'll blow up your phone about "the norm meds"..yet never get back to you about PAs...I've called several times my doc office they say cvs isn't communicating..so I call back..recently last week maryjo..says she'll call n get back ..nope on hold again 3 weeks without my meds..their end im 24yrs in on my doc n nurse. Sooo..Soo..yeah if you have an alternative take it

They take entirely too long when you are looking right at the prescription and then they mess it up all together. I’m transferring to Medicap asap

First, I have to address the comments that have put complaints in about Dr. Fawad Baig and how they're completely false! I will tell you first hand that he is an amazing Pharmacist and he runs the Pharmacy WAY better than it ever has been, and I have been going to this location for over 15 years! Fawad has always put in extra effort to help me get my medications filled, even calling my doctors office multiple times to make sure things get taken care of for me. He speaks to you like you're human, with exceptional interpersonal communication skills! Fawad does his absolute best in running this CVS Pharmacy with what resources, tools and short staffing that he is provided with.Now, this CVS Pharmacy is the best Pharmacy in Altoona, that's for sure! I switched to Hy-Vee in Altoona for one month and I couldn't do it anymore because they're TERRIBLE, so I switched back to CVS! They do their best, but like every Pharmacy, they get busy and don't have the staffing all the time. But, the staff do their best to keep up and get to everyone that is waiting for service. People need to stop complaining and just be thankful for having this CVS Pharmacy Team doing their best and taking care of their customers.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

LESS than 1 star! First time using this CVS inside Target. After 5 days of trying to get scripts filled so they could be picked up at the same times, still not ready. Told it happens all the time by other people in line. Wish I had an alternative that didn't cost me. Horrible experience!

I too, wish I could give zero stars. I live in a different town, and this is the closest CVS to me (45 minute drive). I have been forced to use CVS due to insurance, they are the only one near me that will do 3 month prescriptions. I have been using them since 2017, and when I tell you I haven't had ONE good experience, I mean it! They will text me that my scripts are ready, drive all the way there just for them to tell me they are out of stock. The customer service is horrible, they are always rude to me. Today was my final straw. I tried calling earlier this month to refill my insulin, they said they were having trouble getting it in stock, gave it 3 weeks and called again today. They didn't have enough in stock, so they said they would call another store and see if they did. The manager "Fawab" is the name they gave, returned my phone call and was extremely rude, said he would not forward my script to another CVS, that I need to contact my doctor and have them send it. I said I have no problem doing that, but I'd like to know what store has it in stock so I know what store to have them send it to. He got an attitude with me, tried telling me they haven't filled anything for me since July (that's a lie) and then hung up on me. Extremely unprofessional and not a way to run a business, I'd hate to see the way he treats his employees. I will never give CVS my business again.

I have diabetes and the pharmacists always go above and beyond for me. I would go no where else, not even another cvs, even if I moved away from altoona!
