So today I called up and spoke with a pharmacist about why I was having to pay for my medication again, because I went through this same situation last time. I got the approval from the doctor for a year now so there should of been no cost. But because they think they are supposed to use the same discount insurance card instead of asking so you get charged. Well I also said I usually get 90 days supply. Well the rude lady who works her said they stopped that around Covid and I have been getting it since Covid because she didn't explain herself. So she decided too hang up on me. I called the store to reach a manager and explained to him, and how I wouldn't have someone like that working for me. Then Cody called back and was having a disposition with me and said he couldn't get the insurance to cover more than 30 days,when my husband went down there to pick them up he said it was a big bottle with more than 30 pills. So Cody apparently lied to me and the lady lied about me using curse words which I believe 98 percent I didn't curse. So I got accused of doing something I didn't and I was lied to repedly by the lady who answered the phone and Cody. Now I know sometimes I do curse but I would like to know what curse words did I use? I also called my doctor and had them switch Pharmacy In Algona to Kossuth Family Pharmacy. Who ever employees these individuals need to have a conversation about being honest and for not telling lies. I have forgiveness for you but I will not have any medication filled in this place ever again and personally if I were the boss or manager you would be collecting unemployment.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Tried for two weeks to refill a prescription and never did get it. I asked my doctor to switch pharmacies over the weekend, the new pharmacy had them ready and waiting for me Monday morning. Definitely will not be coming back, and won't be recommending anyone continue filing their orders here. Very disrespectful and held very little importance on ensuring my order was filled.

I was standing at the self checkout for 10 minutes before someone came over and helped me. after I hit the need assistance button. it was not busy and employees looked at the red flashing light and still walked by.

This is, without a doubt, the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. I wouldn't even be taking the time out of my day to write this, except I think people deserve to know about the Pharmacist there named Mia, and how just absolutely rude she is.After spending nearly 2 HOURS at this pharmacy today trying to get my prescriptions filled, I still did not get them - even though she assured me they could & would be filled from the beginning.She was rude, she contradicted everything she'd previously said each time I spoke to her, had me waste 2 hours of my time and gas, and was telling me the whole time she was going to refill my prescriptions, as I do each month.Today she was very snarky, and at the end of it she very rudely told me that "I should just go drive around the park!" Wow!! What a way to speak to your customers, especially when you know and can tell that I'm going through a lot and clearly was having a difficult day. I was almost in tears as it was.I switched pharmacies to Algona Hospital Pharmacy and had my prescriptions filled, ready, and picked up all in less than 10 minutes with NO issues right after this. Also, the customer service was great! Very friendly, warm smiles, kind, and the care you should be able to expect from any pharmacy.Do not except great customer care or service if you choose Hy-Vee Pharmacy in Algona as your Pharmacy.Instead, expect unfriendly faces, an astonishingly rude & snarky Pharmacist named Mia.I hope this review helps people choose a better pharmacy.*Also, this review DOES NOT APPLY to the Hy-Vee pharmacy in Humboldt at all. It's the complete opposite there. I always had a great experience when I used them, and there's really outstanding people that work in that Pharmacy.Mia should be fired, or at least suspended and reprimanded!!

Service is always slow, you have to follow with medication request or you’ll never hear back and zero description, my prescription has been hollered out loud on multiple occasions.
