What a difference a location makes. We stopped going to the Avon location after 13 years because of the terrible customer service. We had guests coming, so we decided to check out the Zionsville store. It's easily 4 times the size of the Avon location with a great selection. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Wish I could put no stars...The owner of Moody's is a terrible fellow Village merchant. He and his employees park on the street instead of in their own lot. He has 15 spaces and never has many customers. He doesn't care if our customers can find a spot to park. He and 3-4 employees park right in front of a fellow merchant's door. We have asked him not to do so. He has threatened other merchant's customers if they park in his lot while visiting his butchery as well as other merchants. No wonder Moody's business has declined.

NY strip steak and wild caught salmon were some of the best if not THE best we have ever had! The carrots were also from there! It seemed sacrilegious to eat the steak off a paper plate actually! The service was also great!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Just made some faroe island salmon from here and it was delicious. Shout out to the meater thermometer as well for a perfect cook every time. Their freezer sales on mondays are great. Good price for great meats. Even their produce selection is prime. Never find any rotten veggies in the bags. Always very fresh. Can’t say enough good things about them.

When it comes to locally sourced high quality beef, pork, poultry and seafood the place to go to is Moody's Butcher Shop specifically Zionsville ( they have shops in Avon, Geist, and Nora). Also your first stop for prepared meats (premarinated ready to cook chicken pork and beef) as well as your local favorite produce and prepackaged items from local producers. The staff there quickly becomes family, in fact I loved it there so much I started working the last week, so I hope to meet all the regulars as well as welcome new customers come in say HI and join the family.

Friend ordered from here and it was a terrible cut, and they wouldn't allow a return sense it left the store, terrible business and customer service. Theres many meat markets it Hamilton and boone county to choose from and this one is not it, check there Facebook page for my full post and overpriced meat

I was so excited to try moody meats, I wanted a great cut of TBone for my grill. I am schooled in how TBone should be cut and I got home and basically got New York Strip with the bone no filet. I was extremely disappointed as a butcher shop should understand how a T Bone should be cut. I called and was told there was nothing I can do about it, I guess it was my fault for not checking the meat before I left.

Don't know how I missed this, but I just paid for cuts that were frozen solid. And the color is way, way, off. These cuts are clearly old, probably why they were frozen. Not coming here again- I've gotten better looking cuts of meat at Meijer. What I got at Moody's is too old to be usable for anything other than stew filler meat. Glad I didn't fall for the overpriced "Wagyu".

Went to moody Sunday and bought some steak asked what kind of seasoning to put on it I was told just do salt and pepper and let the meat do the talking and I was impressed. best steak I ever had

excellent customer service and they don't just sell beef and pork, you can also buy fish and other meat say well. They also sell chocolates and cheeses. Plenty of things to choose from. It's definitely worth stopping to look.
