Extremely disheartening experience for us and our four year old son. We will absolutely not be returning.

WARNING! SAVE YOUR MONEY! This place is playing games with my son and his progress IN gymnastics and I'm absolutely disgusted by it. His "teacher" has said time and time again that he is capable and has the ability to move up into the next gymnastics class and has been for months. And when confronted about moving up, there are excuses made time and time again. First the numbers are crazy and they don't have the space. Then it's because he "talks too much" with another kid; they are 4 years old. THEN, it turned into having to wait until he turns 5 until he will be forced to move up, even though he has been able to move up for months on his own capabilities. They are robbing money from us by not challenging my son or teaching him anything different. It's literally the same thing over and over again. Please avoid this place and their targeting of children for whatever reason. What is the real reason? I'll never know because we've been given multiple contradicting answers. My son loved going here but if they are not going to do their job and teach him anything, I cannot justify him continuing to go here every week and not be challenged by anything, because he is already capable. Thank you for ruining a beautiful thing for my child.

We love gymnast teacher Beth. I have been impressed with the gymnastic program. She starts out with stretches and exercises on the floor. I think the most impressive part is when she has them on a circuit each running through different exercises. She does a good job keeping her eye on all of them, but she has taught them each what to do and they rotate through pretty seamlessly. She is a one station helping with flips or something more difficult. The classes are orderly and fun.My daughter has made great progress in the swim program due to the awesome swim teachers. I love how clean they keep the building, and I really like the track above the gymnastics floor. The front desk staff is friendly every time I have a question or need to move up into a different swim class. We haven't be enrolled in the pre-school, but while I am there I am impressed that they sometimes have little kids (2-4) running through stretches/exercises on the gym floor or running around on the track. You can tell the kids looks forward to it because most of them tear down the track. We really have zero complaints and would recommend this place to anyone. Also I would add, they do close on some holidays, but I was surprised that they were open on MLK day and Presidents Day.

The school and the swim lessons should be two different systems. Our experience at the school was horrendous. Our child was struggling with some big emotions after a change to a new school and was promptly kicked out after 1 week. We were told to seek out developmental preschool by the director who had just met her.On the other hand our girls loved swim lessons there. It’s worth mentioning that the swim teachers never had an issue with our daughter who did lessons for 3 years.

Terrible Daycare. Do not enroll here.I am writing to share my experience with Interactive Academy Daycare as a parent whose child recently started attending the facility approximately two months ago. Unfortunately, my overall impression has been disappointing, particularly in the handling of upset children and their apparent prioritization of financial considerations over the well-being of the children. One of the primary concerns I have encountered is the inadequate care provided to upset children. It appears that the staff struggles in effectively managing and comforting children who may be experiencing distress. The lack of a supportive and nurturing environment for children in moments of emotional unease has been a source of great concern for me as a parent.Furthermore, it has come to my attention that my child, who was enrolled on a part-time basis, was abruptly dismissed from the daycare due to the enrollment of full-time children. This decision, seemingly driven by financial motives, raises questions about the daycare's commitment to the individual needs and circumstances of the children in their care. It is disheartening to witness a childcare facility prioritize financial considerations over the well-being of the children who rely on their services.I believe that every child deserves to be treated with the utmost care and attention, irrespective of their enrollment status. The abrupt dismissal of my child based on a shift to full-time enrollment for others reflects a lack of consideration for the unique needs of each child and their families. In conclusion, my experience with has left me with serious reservations about the quality of care provided and the daycare's commitment to the children they serve. I hope that this feedback can contribute to improvements in the daycare's practices and a more conscientious approach to the well-being of the children entrusted to their care.

The staff at interactive do not live up to their motto of building 'strong confident healthy kids'. They are unprofessional and incredibly rude. My son is 3 and took one swim lesson there. He was scared and the staff did not help him get acclimated at all. They just put him in the water while he was crying and trembling from fear. I used to be a swim instructor and there is a fine line between pushing a child and letting them realize on their own their fears are irrational. I would expect a place like this to understand that. I believe my son has been scarred by his interaction at the pool. The woman in charge came and got me because 'we are having trouble following directions' because all he would do is sit on the stairs and cry. I was appalled that they could treat another human, let alone a child this way. He has been telling me all day 'Mommy, that lady at the pool was so scary. I thought she was going to make me drown'. I am considering suing this company for how they treated my son today.

Pros:1) The instructors are great with the kids. My kids absolutely adore the gymnastics teacher Ms. Maria. She is a treasure.2) The facilities are great and clean. The 2nd floor parent viewing area above the gym is nice.3) Lots of activities to choose from.Cons:1) Billing is essentially a black box with no pricing to be found anywhere. We signed up for a class most of the way through the month and were charged full price up front with no pro-rating. Then a few days later, the normal monthly billing cycle kicked in and we were charged a full month again.2) I signed up for classes on Mondays. Come Labor Day, Interactive is closed for the holiday, but there was no make-up for the missed class. There are like 8 federal holidays on Mondays...3) Trying to terminate a class because school was about to begin and we can no longer show up at 10am was unnecessarily annoying. It required a printed, filled, and signed sheet to be hand delivered to the front desk way in advance of the end of the month.4) The size of the wait-list for a class is completely opaque. You have no clue if you're next or 10th in line.

I would not recommend this school for the 2-3 year old age range. Both of my children attended (my son briefly before being "kicked out"), but my daughter had a wonderful experience in the 4 year old/pre-K class purely because of her teachers. My daughter heard my sons teacher call him "stupid" and we were made to feel like our son had serious issues. I typically never write reviews like this, but I would never want another parent being treated how we were by the school director, Barbara. Please look into Kids 360 in Westfield instead, our son is now THRIVING!

The principal is very rude and the office staff are very cold. Had the worst experience. Teachers are awesome though!

Classes and teachers are great, however the person on the front desk is extremely rude, the whole time I was there making a request so my daughter could move to another schedule she didn’t say hello, good morning or looked at my face, she seemed annoyed at what I was asking. You may have a waiting list and don’t care if one person leaves or stays but at the end of the day these things matter!

ZERO stars for their preschool.. cannot comment on their individual classes. DO NOT send your kids to pre school here. Unprofessional staff. The only thing they have going for themselves is their facility. The teaching philosophy is - all work with no play. Your kids will go to swim class here but you will never know what they have learned because that is never properly communicated. Our kid would come home with batches but no note from the teacher why he got the batch. Again, swimming classes another check box item for this school. Just because they have a pool. A 3/4 year old kid is expected to walk into the class early in the morning and first thing pick up a pencil to start tracing their name. And, thats all good but the issue is- some kids are not ready and need extra assistance, which is not provided. Teachers either don't have don't have time to talk to you or will communicate very generally via their app. If you want to know more, or have issues and go up to talk to them they get upset or feel threatened. And, that makes you into the villain! The worst school, the environment is made to be competitive for very young kids too. The kid who does all his or her work during the week and will named "top student" in the class. Mind you, this was in class of 3 and 4 year old. Do we really need the environment to be competitive? Shouldn't the focus be on developing the kid's individuality, perhaps even communication skills or self expression especially at that young age. Teachers here do not try to understand the kids need. They have their own agenda. The teachers do a great job at making the parents feel like they are bad people/parents, if questions or explanations are asked. Management is ONLY supportive of their staff which is good thing for the teachers but not for the parents/students.

A nice facility, but the lady in charge, Kendra, is the most rude and unprofessional individual we have had to deal with. I refuse to have my kid around someone with little to no respect for others or their children. It’s sad bc it could be a beautiful place, if she knew how to treat others. Save yourself & your child the headache.

I'd like to not give them a star at all. I signed my 5 year old for swim lessons and we lasted a month. This place does not have friendly swim instructors. They seem to be burnt out or just zero patience for a child who clearly can't swim. Our last experience the instructor yanked my child off the wall to forcibly make them dunk their head. When my child came out, the instructor quickly was blaming her for not wanting to participate towards the end of the class. Obviously, she just made her feel unsafe. I quickly told her she was in the wrong and should have moved on to another child. I did not witness them making it a fun experience at all. We switched schools immediately. To top it off, they don't care about your business the front desk was rude from the beginning.

This facility should be KNOWN for it's inflexibility to schedule make-up classes (you are given 1 make-up class per 8 weeks). They will not let these make-up classes accumulate for use when you need them. It then can take 6-8 weeks to even get a scheduled make-up time (once it was 2.5 months). Our almost 8 year old has been in a beginner gymnastics class for a year and is still unable to do a simple cartwheel or splits. They are unapologetically inflexible and DON'T care that you are paying almost $25 per class. We are pulling both of our children from this facility after paying almost $2,000 this past YEAR on lessons, without the slightest care from anyone I have spoken to at Interactive Academy. My daughters are heartbroken to leave, but I can't continue to shell out money to a place that unapologetically refuses to provide service after being paid.*Update: We moved to DeVeau's School of Gymnastics and my daughter learned a cartwheel in less than a month. They've already been great with makeups. I recommend them over Interactive Academy any day. My 4 year old is already doing stuff my 8 year old wasn't being taught at IA.
