Staff entertained my daughter by painting her face while another employee helped me find a new series for my 7th grader. Excellent selection for kids, from books to toys to crafts!

Fun store with a good mix of educational and entertaining toys and games. I was looking for a specific toy, which was a stretch to go looking for but found a lot of other fun games and toys instead. So it was still worth a quick visit and I'll definitely keep in mind for other times of gifting.

This is a go to spot for all toy, book, and games needs for the little ones in your life. It reminds me of the toy shops when I was a kid. Great selection, great staff, and amazing service. I will be sure to come here first when shopping for gifts!

We had a frustrating experience tonight. We arrived close to or right at closing, unaware of the hours, which is on us. There were two or three sets of parents and kids checking out and my husband and I were with our autistic 6 yr old and our 18 month old baby, who was very excited to pick out his own toy. We weren't greeted and we weren't warned about the proximity to closing time. At about 5 after, we came from the back room with a giant ball picked out for the baby who was ecstatic and my 6 yr old mulled over a couple options. The clerk then acknowledged we were there and simply said "we closed at 6." Not that we could still make a purchase or we have a few minutes or an apology, just more or less "get out". My husband put my kids selections back, which of course lead to a crying baby as he watched his ball being out back and an absolute meltdown from my autistic son as I tried to explain what closed means and that no, we can't just pay for our choices. While this went on, nothing from the clerk. I underbid the closing reports had been performed and that maybe we really couldn't buy anything but still at least some explanation or maybe a warning before shutting down the systems, knowing a family was still in the tiny shop would have been nice. Huge bummer because we want to support local and had been using this store as a behavior motivator for our son.

Absolutely love this store! I'm so happy my friend found it. The ladies that run it are so kind and helpful! We will shop here first before big box stores!

One of the few real toy stores still around. They have so many neat toys and books. They have a large selection of games for all ages. Even toddlers! Everyone is always so nice and helpful.

A good variety of toys, games, and books, including a lot of things that you won't find at "big box" stores. Much stronger selection of educational toys than you'll find elsehere. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and have good knowledge of their products.

This store is a gem! They have a mix of books and toys - I was there for the books! They have a fantastic selection for how small it is. It was spectacularly diverse. I found so many things I wanted to buy! Highly recommend as a spot for kids books, picture through YA.

It pains me to be somewhat negative toward a locally owned shop for kids (not that 3-stars is truly negative, but it is on the low-end of reviews for 4 Kids). However, when you advertise being wheelchair accessible and I trust that and go to the trouble of getting to your Zionsville shop only to find out that you are, in fact, not actually accessible? Well, I kind of have to acknowledge it. Things started off well. I'd parked down closer to Le Peep (also a surprisingly average experience today) and there are available curb cuts allowing sidewalk access. This shop is toward the opposite end of the strip center and has a double-sided glass doorway with a definitely congested entryway. As I started to enter, what looked like a mother and grandmother were entering and were clearly pleased about it. They raved about 4 Kids and were clearly regulars. 4 Kids, amusingly enough, is named 4 kids because it's a shop for kids and because the owner, Cynthia, and her husband have 4 kids. I'm assuming one of them is not in a wheelchair (and if they are, it's obviously a small one). I've heard lots about 4 kids because of their events, toy selection, and books. I am a wheelchair user (if that wasn't already obvious) and I'm a very adaptable one. I do long distance wheelchair events and typically have very little difficulty maneuvering even in difficult retail spots. Quite honestly, about halfway through my shopping experience here I gave up and left. I was frustrated because the aisles were not accessible, I kept having to detour, and I couldn't find a way to access the back of the store book section (I will acknowledge going along the front of the store MAY have worked, however, there were two customers having a delightful conversation seemingly oblivious to everyone else including those who might actually need to get through). There were multiple spots where I couldn't access an aisle because of products sticking out, abrupt turns, or just overall congestion. In some spots, I was able to maneuver around an alternative way to make it - but not always and I never made it to the back half of the store. While I realize, of course, that locally owned businesses need to pack in as much as possible, there are actually ways to do it while maintaining accessibility. Or maybe I just got it on an off day? Maybe it is usually accessible? I don't know. All I know is it wasn't accessible today. I also wasn't greeted, though I will note they had several customers. Overall, I feel like I gave this my best shot. I had every intention of purchasing and had one item already picked. However, there's simply no way I'm spending my hard-earned cash in a place that's not situated in a way that's welcoming to me. I mean, heck, Kids Ink is in an even smaller space and they manage to make their aisles accessible. To be fair, this does seem like an awesome place. The shelves are packed with fun items, educational items, books, toys, and there's even a shelf for adults near the entryway. They offer free local delivery, curbside pick-up, and it was clear they have a loyal following from their Yelp reviews and from those in-store. So, while this certainly wasn't a positive experience for me I completely respect that it's positive for many and a terrific option for those in the Zionsville/West Carmel area looking for a locally owned bookstore/toy store for that perfect gift for kids.

Such a sweet store! I needed a gift for my 2-year-old son and used trusty Yelp to find one close by where I was already running other errands. This was my first visit here and I was so impressed with the variety! I found multiple options for my son as well as a gift for my husband too! Since I'm a mom, I usually think that I am "in the know" as far as what is out there as far as good gifts, but this store had some surprises! I also appreciated the great book selection. The staff also wrapped my gift. Also a shout out to their awesome bathroom. This store will definitely become a repeat destination.

We absolutely love this store! We always feel so welcome. My kids love the summer reading challenge and sharing their reviews with Cynthia. I've emailed them for book recs and gift ideas, paid over the phone, and picked up in store. They are so accommodating, with many ways to shop.
