In my opinion this bank has several key issues , lack of proper and consistent training, a confusion over the minimum $1500 checking balance whether its a average rolling balance or anytime the account drops below $1500. I received a $7 charge on my checking account when a check cleared, i don’t keep much more than a couple thousand in this account as it pays no interest.. I was told by the call center it just so happened to be when the statement closed by chance the same day the charge was assessed. I was told to visit the branch to have it reviewed and they are unable to refund it from the call center,, only a branch can. I arrived to the winona lake branch and the counter employee was friendly but unsure so she made 3 calls to the support line , which told her it is a rolling balance and i should not of been charged. She was unable to refund the $7 due to Sheryl the branch manager not being in the office. I was told no teller can credit anything. Huge red flag, if you don't trust your employees, why should i trust your employees?
I was told to come back or have Sheryl call me, at this point i felt i gave them a adequate chance to right the situation, my time is worth something and i just cashed out and closed the account. This bank has a extremely poor policy on employee privilege to correct situations and inconsistent training at the customers detriment. Sheryl called back and was polite however had the nerve to fault me for not giving them a chance to fix it. I most certainly did and lake city failed on several fronts. Sheryl in my opinion your gesture to refund the $7 was great but you never did come thru , your reasoning that i closed the account does seem insufficient, a check can be mailed. Another fail. Will never bank here again , also had my business parter pull his two commercial accounts and move to chase. It’s about principal here. Hope the $7 was worth it. Very disappointed.

Great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We need a floor sander to cure some ridges in the subfloor. Machine worked perfectly!

Lake City has been stealing amounts of cash from my account every month for years. 7 dollars without my knowledge hundreds and hundreds of dollars. Will not resolve despite repeated attempts. Must be someone high up embezzling it.

As a college student needing a financial institution locally, Lake City has been amazing! They have treated me with endless respect, enthusiasm, and helpfulness. Iï¸ receive texts to check for fraud, check services at the local branch, ATM withdrawals using my cell phone, and endless other services. Iï¸ am truly a loyal member of the Lake City Bank community, and Iï¸ cannot speak more highly of their service to me. (The staff at the Winona Lake branch is phenomenal as well!)

The staff are always friendly and very willing to help out. There are sometimes that it is busier than others but usually it is pretty fast. We have been banking there for over 30 years and have found them always willing to work with us, very helpful and very friendly.

I do not bank here, but my family does. I went into the store with my son to make a deposit and was treated very rude. The teller did not introduce herself, greet us with hello, nor did she acknowledge us as we left. We definitely felt like an inconvenience upon leaving. This employee needs to work on her customer service skill set. One bad employee can destroy a reputable brand. I am not one to post many reviews, but I felt like this review was necessary.
