This is a new review compared to my previous ones which were good!
I've taken my cars here for over 10 yrs and Mike was outstanding up until retiring and Sophia continued with professionalism , knowledge and very supportive til a week ago so I don't think it was her decision to leave.
It was a very long day so I'll try to be brief. Called Carx( Whiting/Hammond) last week at 7:30am for an appt ( recent requirement on last visit). Asked for Sophia and was told shes no longer with the company and that I could bring my car in. Arrived just before 8:30am and within an hour was told I needed Struts. Price given , parts ordered and told I should be done by 12:30-1:00pm. I said go ahead while I'm here. I sat outside b/c the A/C was very cold(something working right). I scheduled appts, made phone calls while waiting to pass time. I saw a Mac Tools truck and another deliver parts while sitting outside. At 1pm, came in, saw my car in the bay but no mechanics were in eyesight. Once the Mgr. Tim was off the phone and taking care of customers, I asked if they were on lunch. His reply was "NO, we're still waiting on your parts." I couldn't believe it. I had to ask if he would call to see why the parts hadn't been delivered. He then told me the store only had one and that he had to order the other one from elsewhere ( should have shared that morning). He said this was his 2nd day since Sophia was no longer there. About 6 people came, asked for her then left. He called the store where he previously worked to get a favor done of picking up the part. About 2:00pm, I was told his colleague was enroute to pickup and deliver the part. He didn't seem bothered that I was frustrated about being there all day and only called when I asked. 3::00pm "He's in traffic on the skyway (15 mins away)." 3:45pm "He's 5 mins away." At 4:30pm, I asked what lie was I about to hear b/c 5mins was 45 mins ago. None of the mechanics were working on cars b/c they were waiting on parts. He said " put her car back together so she can be on her way." I told him he was unprofessional and disrespectful after I'd been there for 8 hours. When I said I would be filing a complaint, he changed his tone and tried to be nice. The Strut was delivered by Autozone Store MGR herself at 5:10pm so all those other messages of his co-worker on the way were NOT TRUE! I did not leave Carx until 5:45pm. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER at Carx! I'm sure you're getting more bad reviews b/c no one there was happy and said they would file a complaint. A supervisor, Griffin, returned my call today and was rude also. I was explaining a different issue about buying 3 tires/ get 1 free last month to find 1 was manufactured 2023 while the others were 2024. She said tires can last 6yrs but she buys new ones every 2 yrs. As I was speaking, she said "you're talking in circles, have a good day and abruptly hung up!

Don't waste your time with these people they have bad business practices. I was on a flat tire, I ordered a set of new tires and only needed installation. I called on 3 different occasions before I drove my car basically on 3 wheels to the shop. Initially I spoke with a manager a day before going who instructed me to come in the next day to have work the work done. The next day I called when they opened and was told to come around 12, so I waited until 12 to call again to make sure I was in the clear. At 12 I called again and was told to drive to the shop as soon as possible to have the tires installed. When I finally got there I was told it was an independent company and don't install tires after being told by 3 different employees they did the work. I was beyond annoyed and aggravated because my time was wasted and I was lied too either by the 3 employees I called and spoke with or the big lazy guy sitting behind the desk I talked too in person. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE NOT A BUSINESS THAT OPERATE WITH INTEGRITY.

This place doesn’t even deserve a one star!!!!
Dishonest people working there. They think I’m stupid and wouldn’t see where the kid they had working on my car put tape around an oil leak!!!!
This is my third time taking my car back. Think twice before taking your car there for anything, stay far away from this place!!!
If you notice, silver tape applied to the oil leak!

My husband and I have been bringing all of our cars to this location for 13 years whether it's for oil changes, tires, or major issues. We have never had a problem up until this past week. We made an appointment a WEEK in advance to bring in our vehicle. We dropped it off on Monday around 9am, thinking we should at least receive a phone call updating us that evening, we did not. We called Monday evening and spoke to Melissa. She informed us with an attitude that our vehicle wouldn't be looked at until tomorrow. My husband said "Okay, and that he wasn't complaining, he just wanted an update on our vehicle." She stated that the mechanic (Nate, who is AWESOME) was only "one person" and we needed to be patient because there was 7 cars ahead of us. Fast forward to Tuesday and Wednesday, our vehicle was still not looked at, mind you we made an appointment on Monday. We had to call each day to get an update, because no one was informing us about anything. Each time we spoke with Melissa asking for an update it felt like we were being talked down to and treated with zero respect. Being that we both work, we needed to know what was going on with our vehicle to arrange rides, etc. We tired explaining it to her and all she stated again was that the mechanic was only "one person". Wednesday around noon I was told our vehicle would be looked at shortly and I would receive a call back. I did not receive a call. FINALLY, our vehicle was looked at Thursday. Melissa called us, letting us know what was wrong and quoting us $4900 for things we did not even bring the car in there for (oil change, brakes, routers, filters, and a battery). She spoke to my husband with such disgusting tone when we explained that's not what we brought it in there for (a check engine light) and said she would have to ask the mechanic to look at it again. We asked why it wasn't looked at to begin with when my husband informed her that's what needed to be looked at when it was dropped off, she stated that she was not sure and still pushed on us the other things on stating in a condensing tone that "a car needs oil to run, you know." At that point, we were done dealing with the lack of professionalism, and respect from Melissa. We ended up paying for an oil change and went straight to pick up our vehicle. Sofia (the front desk attendant prior) was amazing and always treated me with respect and kindness, not sure what happened to her. We will not be returning because of Melissa.

Horrible at scheduling. Had a confirmed appointment for just an oil change and was told they could maybe get to it that day but it’s a risk I’d have to take if I left my car there as they were too backlogged. Not one to leave bad reviews but rude staffing and a disregard for customers time over an oil change is ridiculous.

Our service was terrible here. Melissa gave us a hard time on a battery $200+ dollars that was purchased last year and that is under warranty. All We needed was a battery recharge. She wasn’t helpful She made something so simple difficult for us. We will not return to this store.

Don't know what happened to this location , had one mechanic only girls who worked desk were unprofessional didn't tell me truth I had to walk out after wasting 4 hours of my time I dint see this location lasting too much longer it changed from 5 years ago when I frequented this place sorry Car X you should and should of been better smh

I got a nail in the tire and I came to the shop at 6pm, one hour before they close. Sofia helped us and their technician fixed the tire within 15 mins at no cost! Excellent service and quality!

Went to get my tire patched, I called over the phone and they ensured me it would cost 20 dollars. I show up and the guy asks what my tire size is, unless you work on cars most people don't know there tire size... anyways he quotes me for a new tire when I just wanted to get my tire patched. He says he can't patch it, but hasn't even looked at it. I explain to him I've had patchwork done on those tires, he says he won't patch the same tire twice... When did I tell him I've had work done on that specific tire, regardless I find that comment interesting since I've had one of those tires patched 3 times already. I explained that to him and he kicked me out and started cussing. What terrible customer service

I made an appointment 2 days in advance online for a 10am drop off for brakes and rotors, it states a representative will contact me within 1 hour depending on the time of the appointment. 48 hours had passed and still nobody contacted me to confirm so I proceeded to drop my car off at 10am and the car didn't get lifted and looked at until after 3:30pm and it's now 4:50pm -"at the time of this review and still nobody called me. I called at 2pm and was told in 1 hour someone will call me and nothing, I called back at 4:30 and was then told someone will call me in 15mins and still nothing.My vehicle wasn't able to be worked on and I had to drive it home. CarX told me to comeback when they open and my car will get worked on first , so I'm here now and it's 9:11am and my car is still outside. I'm having to spend upwards of $1500 plus $60.00 off and to be treated like this is unacceptable and unprofessional, having only 1 mechanic on duty with 7 cars not including mine waiting is not right. My car got completed and the brakes still grind when I stopped even after 500miles and now my car makes a noise while driving even in a smooth paved road, my 2021 car now feels and drives like a used car that's 15 years old. When you get work done on a new car the vehicle isn't suppose to feel like it's older after the fact. Let me say this , DO NOT make an online appointment it's a complete waste of time for "this location". Best to stick with your dealership if your car is new or acouple of years old,it'll be more money but the car will get DONE. Stick with oil changes at CarX.

Went to go get an oil change, they never changed my oil on my car when I asked for full synthetic and got charged $70. They might have been salty because I didn’t want to replace some parts on my car that costed over 2000?

This is the second time I’ve had issues with this establishment. Told my mom not to go back because of the way they treated her last time and this time around they said they couldn’t find a part which is understandable and it was for her gas tank that was leaking. They brought the vehicle outside after they drained the remaining gas, leaving her with nothing, and also a dead battery, which was not even part of her issue when she showed up. I understand leaving the vehicle outside and not being able to find the part they don’t make anymore. But refusing her help to put some gasoline back in it or even a jump for that matter at 6 o’clock at night when she’s stranded there. Melissa was the one she was dealing with last night that refused to help her with a jump, and with some gas and then proceeded to tell her that she was not a customer after my mom asked “this is how you treat your customers” and then proceeded to threaten to tow the vehicle if it wasn’t removed immediately. Melissa you are gross and I hope somebody treats you with the same “kindness” You showed my 65 year old mother last night when you left her in that dark dangerous intersection where your shop is located. You should be ashamed of yourself, and I will make sure the rest of social media knows how you conduct business. If any upper management sees this, perhaps you should keep Melissa in the back of the shop away from dealing with actual people in need. Overhearing the conversation while I was on the other line with my mom that lady has no business dealing with the immediate public and has no compassion for anyone’s well-being, but her own, considering she was in such a hurry to get out the door when there was an elderly lady in her lobby that needed help. For her to tell her she was not a customer is a bad way to do business. You touched her car She is a customer. Plain and simple.Do better!!

Very professional place of business. Sophia was nice and patient with all my questions. The mechanic is straightforward. Although they were not able to complete the repairs because it was something that needs to be completed from dealer. I appreciate their professionalism throughout the entire process. Would recommend

Starting your Friday home from work with an EXTREMELY flat tire isn’t the best way to start a weekend, but because of my experience at CarX today, it wasn’t as bad of a headache. I called and told them my situation, and they said to drive slow - I’d be next in line for a quick check of my tires. They were able to show me that there was a hole in my tire, and they patched me up good as new! The price was only $35, and I had such a wonderful conversation with Melissa (I think!!! Sorry!!) that the time flew by. I was able to make it back home from work before date night. I sincerely appreciate the fast and honest work that I experienced tonight! Thank you!! (Good luck to your son and your daughter! Thanks for the great conversation and for making this such an easy situation!!)
