I just started using GreenLawn by Design this year. I am beyond pleased with their services & quality. In addition to my lawn care, they treat my yard for mosquitoes. In the few years I have lived here I have never been able to enjoy my back yard due to being literally eaten alive by them. This year I have spent almost every evening out back with my dogs & I couldn’t be more happy!Services: Grass seeding

I hired this company for seasonal fertilization and weed control and weekly mowing. I have tried numerous times and ways to get in touch with them due to lack of invoices for the weekly mowing, which started off great but they have not shown for over 2 weeks. I have emailed them and called numerous times and have gotten no response. Today when I came home from work, I saw a notification in my yard that said my lawn had just been fertilized…the 2nd time in a week! I tried calling again and no answer goes to voice mail. Next, I am reporting them to the BBB. Do NOT use this company! They don’t know how to do business!!!Service: Lawn care

I hired Greenlawn by Design in April to do weekly mowing and seasonal fertilization and weed control. The first 2 weeks, they did great. Then the company dropped out of sight for mowing. It has been over 2 weeks since I have had my yard mowed and with all of the rain that we have had, it is so overgrown. In addition, on May 2nd, they did come to put down fertilizer and weed control...today, 7 days later, they put down another round of fertilizer and weed control! i have paid every invoice sent to me either the day I received the invoice or the next day. I have sent numerous emails and have called numerous times, leaving voice mails to please call me back. Absolutely, no response. I went with this company because I wanted to give my business to a small and local company. I have cut ties with this company as of today and have found another lawn care provider.

Royce's crew did a boulder wall around my pool. in a day an age filled with product and material shortages, my boulders were delivered ahead of schedule and on budget. They also removed my weed-infested river rock planting areas and replaced with mulch. It was a project that I was certain would take all day, and to my surprise I came home to a fresh new look, and no weeds!!!Service: Yard landscaping

Started using GLBD in summer of 22, spent around 5k in total services. Laid top soil and seed on backyard (small yard), bury downspouts, fertilize and treat yard.The back yard took to about 70% of what was done, said would be fixed, did not get fixed.Down spouts are sloppy and crew did not know what they were doing.Company does not communicate. No call no shows frequent. No response to calls. Give a feeling of just not caring. Taking business elsewhere.Edit after owner response - It is quite alarming to see a company in the same space I also work in blatantly lie to discredit a customer who spent money on a product/service.I watered 2x a day at 7am and 9pm for an hour each time, overkill. Water bill was $300/month on small land. Owner said watering was good.Please, send "picture evidence" of seeding, that does not exist.It is sad to see the way a company tries to fix a problem they have admittedly caused try to save face by lying and discrediting a customer. Maybe return a call or email? I waited 7 months for a review, I give time for problems to be corrected. When you hire this company for work, and they do not do what they say they will do, it is clear they stoop to an ugly level of discrediting a customer. Sad to see.

Have used Green Lawn by design for years in Westfield. Moved to Noblesville to new home last summer. Builder left me a backyard of clay and bad dirt with grass barely surviving. Had Royce come over and evaluate my problem. His professionalism and knowledge has now provided me a fantastic green yard. Would not hesitate to recommend.Services: Landscaping maintenance

Very well. We live in a new development and we contacted Green Lawn By Design for a design plan and estimate. We chose them because we were working directly with the company owner and he was also a veteran. We have received many compliments on our yard and other neighbors are now calling Green Lawn By Design for estimates for design plans for their new yards. The owner went above and beyond to make sure the project was done in the three week timeline promised. He and his staff did an excellent job and we couldn’t be happier!!

Update: I would like to update that the company has now resolved the issue financially. While I'm still frustrated with how it was handled especially the lack of communication I do appreciate that it was resolved in the end. The owner himself called me and I appreciated the personal call.Original review:This company was great until it really really wasn’t. We had an issue where our fence gate was damaged during mowing. It took two months of reaching out to the company to get a manager to confirm the damage and say they would pay for it. Another Month later nothing had been done so I offered to find a fence repairman and submit the bill. It has now been over a month waiting to be reimbursed for the fence gate and radio silence. I have called and emailed multiple times as well as submitting a request on their customer website. During this 6 month headache they also twice charged for mowing services without actually coming out to mow. I’m certain they didn’t mow because I was home with my kids all day and we also have a nest camera out our front door. Since I’m pretty sure at this point I will not be reimbursed like promised I’m posting this in hopes I can save someone else from this costly nightmare. Find a company who will immediately own up to damaging property and fix it. (Our HOA mowing company actually also hit a different area of our fence, informed us that day, and paid within days of the invoice being submitted by the fence repairman).
