An honest reivew:
My son just finished attending abacus and graduated from prek. Overall, very impressed with how ready my son is for kindergarten. He is able to read and write in the span of 9 months and isn't even 5 yet. The amount of activities and opportunities they have for kids to get involved is really amazing as well as having a huge indoor gym for the kids to get there energy out when they cant go outdoors. Most of the staff is very caring and highly involved with the kids. My son would always give a few of them hugs everyday before he left which says a lot. They also have themes during the week as well as programs for moms and dads to come in for breakfast or lunch with their child. My sons favorite was always pajama day!
There are a few things that could be improved however which is why I only gave 4 stars. The 1st is the lack of use of technology. The procure app is used but at the most basic level. Would love to see updates on my kids during the day as well as pics and to see the center embrace technology. They are behind most other daycares in that aspect. The 2nd is the lackluster security. It was always a big concern and one of the reasons we moved my daughter out to a new daycare. Everyone shares the same door code that's only rotated every 6 months, which is disappointing (an opportunity for unique codes per family exists here but lack of updated technology prevents it). There are also no cameras in the classroom or common areas so if an incident does happen you better hope the teacher saw it and was honest about reporting what happened. Again most of the other daycares in the area have cameras in the classrooms. The 3rd is the lack of diversity of nutrition. Most of what the kids were served was highly processed food except for the occasional apple. You can opt out of certain things if you like however leaves much to be desired nutrition wise compared to the other daycares in the area.
Hopefully this helps those looking as well as helps with future improvements to make the center even better!

We continue to be impressed with the level of compassion and care shown by the teachers at Abacus. The things our child is learning and knows are beyond what we have been able to spend time on.

ABACUS Learning Center has been a blessing for our family. Our son has attended the Center for 5 years and is well adjusted to others, intelligent and ready for kindergarten in all respects.

Our family loves Abacus. The pre k program was excellent to the point where virtual Kindergarten for us was like a review year. Great communication with issues regarding my child. And most of all my child is happy to be there. Even on days my child doesn't need to go he requests to go. Thank you for all you do!

We absolutely love Abacus! When I drop my kids off in the mornings I know without a doubt they are in the best place ever!! I toured quite a few places before this place (over a year ago now) and each place was nowhere close to the welcoming faces I encountered when I walked into here. Hands down recommend over and over again!!

We have had a wonderful experience with Abacus. We have been going there the past 6 years and across the board the teachers really care about the kids and their well being. I am so grateful for the fun and safe environment they provide. My son who is now in elementary school left the pre-k program at Abacus reading, writing, and was fully prepared for kindergarten.

We have had the best experience with Abacus. Our older son went there for 2 years (he is now in 3rd grade) and our almost 4 year old has been there since around 12 weeks. They were amazing during the beginning of COVID and we really can see the milestones that our little one has gained being there from an early age. I love the teachers and administrative staff. They are always willing to help with any request and truly make us feel like a part of an extended family. Carla, Amber and Brenda are always so sweet when I have had to call or had a concern. We feel truly lucky to have our son here. We know he will always be well cared for.

10/10 would recommend. The caring nature of all the staff and the attention to details is what makes a mama comfortable leaving her baby all day so she can go to work. I could not imagine taking my child anywhere else. Even when your baby is sick, Amber will reach out and see how you are doing because they truly care about all of their kids. However, it would be nice to have upgraded features on the ProCare app so that we can stay updated throughout the day what our babies are doing (eating, sleeping, etc). We trust you all day and miss out on 8+ hours with them and miss them so much that it would be nice to be able to check in with their activities throughout the day.

Definitely not recommend this place. Two reasons: 1. Admins do not care about your concern. 2. The teachers are negligent. My daughter started at Abacus when she was 10 month old. She had a great time in the infant room. After she as transferred into the toddler room, she came home, INJURED, EVERY OTHER DAY. The worst incident was that my daughter was drummed by a boy with a toy car on her head. The way the center handled it was very bad.I will not recommend this place because most of the teachers we encountered in this center paid the minimum attention to the kids in the classrooms. The admin don’t really care about your concern unless you brought it up to another level or social media.Below is the detail of our experience. Keep reading if you want to find out.—————————————————First week my daughter got lots of scratches. She was the third girl during that time frame who got scratched by the same boy. It took the admin 3 injured kids to decide to move the boy to bigger toddler room. Two days after I was promised the move and the safety, she got scratched, AGAIN, by the same boy. The admin blamed the teachers letting that boy going back to the room instead of their managing system let the teachers ignore their orders.Second week was bitingThe third week, we got hitting. A boy performed a drum show on my daughters head with a toy car. The teacher “got there as soon as she could” but just that one go, my daughters head was 360 degree full of red marks, scratches, bruises and bumps. When I asked what was their protocol handling cases like this, she stuttered and told me that she was going to look into the roster. I went back home crying and posted my concern on a Facebook group. She then messaged me saying that she felt sorry that I had to turn my concerns to social media. Well.... BECAUSE YOU IGNORED MY CONCERN!!!I understand that they are toddlers and don’t mean to hurt others. However, when I questioned the admins about the levels of supervision in the classrooms, she started shaking off all their responsibilities and said those were kids and it’s normal that kids got hurt and there’s really nothing they can do!!! The last conversation we had with the director made us to decide that it was our last day there. She had no sympathy and kept saying she did not know what else she could do. Seriously, if you really don’t know what else you could do, maybe this is not the job and responsibility you should take on.
