I have had the absolute pleasure of owning 6 Explorer Vans over the last 25 years! These custom vehicles have made a tremendous impact in my life! My family and all of our friends love being picked up and taken everywhere in my beautiful van.Almost everywhere I go someone wants to ask me about the van and I love showing it to them. All the details make it so special, the lights in the ceiling, the blinds in the windows, the leather, the tv, all spectacular! The employees of this company should be so proud of the difference that they make in peoples lives. It's not **********,IT'S AN EXPLORER VAN! Personal shout out to *********************,service manager, for being amazing at his job and to all those talented people working at Explorer to make peoples dreams come true!Thank you very much!********************* ********* **

Met with Ross at Explorer Van Company to look at how their vans are built and design one for our family. We had a great time with him and learned a lot about the process and what can added to a van to make it a nice vehicle for our family.

I've never had a bad experience with Explorer. They have gone over and above with all of our vans. We started buying Explorer vans back in 1987. We have bought 7 vans and are about to buy our 8th van. They are the best quality conversion package available.Sincerely,Mark and BonnieOhio

I wound up purchasing a Mercedes Metris van that I later found out had been outfitted by these guys. Beautiful vehicle. Unfortunately when I bought it, I was unaware that the rims and tires were included in the retrofit. When a driver cracked a wheel, I was left with nearly no options to replace it. Deb in the parts department at Explorer Van Co. did her research and followed up with their purchaser, knowing that the company they used to build that wheel custom, was no longer in business. She found ONE remaining wheel and sold it to me at her cost AND got it shipped out same day. I can’t say enough about how much she saved me with this. I was going to end up spending at least $1300 for a whole new set. Thank you Deb.

Now the negative reviews make sense. Awful people on the phones, zero help or information, they apparently only keep records back till 2015? Very unprofessional and snarky attitudes from everyone. They kept using the excuse that they're a small family owned business, like that makes a difference on how they choose to run things. ? Maybe actually have the respect to keep records for those who have spent money to have them convert their vehicle. Removing records after only 7 years? Sounds like they don't want long term customers and have burned many bridges. No wonder there's so many negative reviews from previous buyers. Clearly a shady company that's scammed many others.

If I had to do it again, I would have gone with a different conversion company, and NOT explorer Vans. I have had many issues that I will lay out in this review. -Paint work: explorer can company does not appropriately prep the area that they paint. They just spray over bumpers and moldings making it impossible for paint to hold up. My vehicle is 2 years old with 20k miles and the paint is failing all over the place. See attached pictures. -electrical: The lighting strips have already failed. they start off by flicking, then eventually fail all together. The TV keeps shutting off while driving, the TV speakers had a lot of static and feedback. I was able to repair "myself" by fixing poorly ground, ground wires. I got lucky I was able to find that issue. You may not be. -Product quality: Cheap electronics is the name of the game, with the exception of the Apple TV. speakers, TV, dvd playing are very cheap. You would think for a 30k updit, they would use better quality. The conversion is basically just plastic, and plywood for days, wood screws That become loose over time with all the van movement. loose panels making it a very squeaky, radially ride. The steps going up into the vehicle got very loose and dangerous. I had to buy better quality screws and fix myself. -Warranty: 3 yr 36k miles. "Only for the original owner* I called too use the warranty and they wouldn't cover my paint issues. "CustOmer service" was very rude and combative. complete waist of time in my experience. -fit and finish: exposed wiring, stripped screw heads, uneven panel. Paint cracks, and chips as previously mentioned. not a lot of pride went into building my van. -my wrap up: if you're looking for value, customer service, professionalism, long term reliability, I would choose a different upfit company. This space is very competitive. due your research. My review is based on my experience with my van and my interaction with customer service with explorer van company.

The van looked beautiful originally and it’s very comfortable. But trim pieces keep coming loose, and the conversion is done in such a way that when a piece of electronics like the TV or DVD player break there’s really no way to replace it.

So very unprofessional people in every way. We waited 4 months for our van to be built. We were told several stories of why it wasn't ready. The stories were, "It has arrived and we'll be building it soon" Then another story and another story....I waited because I wanted one When it finally arrived, they raised the price on me without an apology. It was "if you don't want it, someone else will. I wish we didn't want it. When it got there, there was paint drips on the mirrors and on the body cladding. The bumpers didn't fit right and and the rubber was pealing off. The inside was even worse. the fit and finish was HORRIBLE. There were chalk marks everywhere, the leather wasn't even real leather. I called the factory and the owners son was so unbelievably rude and hung up on me. I told the dealer to keep the van. They apologized and gave me my money back. They told me that they will never sell another one of their vans because all the customers hated them. They truly don't care about their customers.

I needed a part that was damaged on my van. The whole experience was over the top!!! From them saying, would you like us to paint it? I was just expecting the part. Then I drove over 2 hours to get there and they said we will put it on for you too. The warranty service manager was absolutely wonderful. This is my 6th explorer conversion van. I was thrilled to see where you make the whole thing happen. Good people, down to earth, and they haven’t forgotten how customers really want to be treated. I applaud your company and the people that make it happen. Thank you!!!!!

I have had 2 polar opposite experiences with this company. The first was very pleasant when they were trying to sell me a new van. The 2nd was after I purchased a used van and called them for support. It was telling of how you will be treated once they have made the sale.My 2nd experience(s) consists of a couple phone calls; to the parts department, the service department and then finally sales. What I found in the parts and service was a total unwillingness to help once they realized my van was several years old. Parts finally came around when I insisted. Fed up, I called Sales and they transfered me to Mr. Foster. It went to voicemail where I left my info and simply mentioned that I wanted to discuss the service I've received from the company. I left no details however never recieved a call back. As for the quality of the van. Pros: The upholstery work is very good with nice details. Some of the panels and trim pieces don't fit perfectly but overall it looks very nice. Door panels are decorative and have many changes in materials to make the appearance pleasing. The carpeting is a nice plush type and holds up pretty well. The floor mats also are well suited for the traffic a van could see. Lots of map/overhead lighting. The bench seat and captain chairs are comfy.Cons: Almost all of the bezels (wood grain) for dash, doors and throughout are cloudy. Maybe from UV rays or just time. The carpentry work is lacking. In many places the doors for cabinets were off centered or hinges not straight making some doors sticky and with gaps. Screws that should have been countersunk were protruding because they were not installed straight. Some locations use fairly large panels and their design doesn't have them fastened in enough locations, making them unsecure. The seat belt retractors are very slow to roll back up.I was very shocked at the the wiring thoughout and espeically for the entertainment center (TV, DVD). I found at least 3 loose hot/postive wires that could have easily shorted out to ground. The wires did have an insulated spade connector but there was not tape or shrink tube covering the ends. That's a big no no. The cables connecting the DVD to the TV and the Wireless Headphone reciever were a low quality causing issues with the sound from one speaker and also functionality of the wireless headphone. I also found a power noise filter that was installed backwards. In summary I would not recommend purchasing a new Explorer van, mostly for the service I experienced and issues dealing with new van quirks. Look for a lightly used van and save tens of thousands of dollars. This will also save the headache of having to speak to the slew of evasive and remiss representatives they have answering customer service calls.

Newbie!Haven't received my new 2021 Mercedes Metris yet, but have been told is ready. Can't wait to see it, waiting on pics soon before delivery. Have been dealing directly with Brian Murphy and have to say that he's been very responsive to my questions and concerns. This is my first time doing anything like this, but very excited for the finished product. I'm only posting now and not after, because I wanted to get it out that they are rolling these babies out even when cars are very difficult to get. I will add more thoughts and pictures to this review once I get it delivered. Thanks Brian
