This has to be the rudest and most incompetent pharmacy in the state. I went there with a scrip for Oxy post surgery and she says " we are out of Oxy and have been out for 6 months".. What? No generic. No substitute. I drove to Meijers and they filled it in 1 hour. Prices are inflated and the grocery items are crummy. Avoid this place. Go to Meijer or Walgreens across the street

CVS is a joke. They didn't have the decency to call or text me when they did not have an antibiotic. Then they have me doing their job for them. Call one pharmacy to push out a notice to the other pharmacy to get my kid's antibiotic for a simple ear infection. Then I am told to call the other pharmacy to fill it. Is this my job? No, no it is isn't. My favorite is that they have one scrip filled in one place and another filled in another. Now I have two pharmacies to go to to get the scrips completed. CVS is incompetent.

Dr. Called in steroid script for my breathing at 11:30 am. At 3:45 i hadn’t heard anything so i called. She told it would be ready at 6pm. Got a message it was being processed. Called at 6:15 because i had no text, spent the next 50 minutes on hold and i decided to drive there. Stuck in line i finally get to the window (still on phone for 1 hour 15 minutes) and she first tells me she has nothing for me and then tells me “oh here it is but its out stock we might have it by 5 pm tomorrow. No where else has this.” No one contacted me so i could arrange something with my doctor before he was closed. This was at 7pm she informed me. 7 hours after it was initially called in. This was yesterday. Im still waiting....

My kids just got their wisdom teeth pulled. Was told at the drive thru that their meds would be ready around 11am....it was 9am when I dropped them off. Totally fine! They are still numb and would be for a couple more hours and it gave me time to run to the store and other errands. I come back at 12:15pm to pick them up, giving plenty of time for the script to be filled. They haven't even started them!!! Meanwhile I have tears from the pain in my kid's mouths. Very frustrated with this place. I will NEVER use this one. Overall, I like CVS. But not this joke of a place!

Best 24 hour pharmacy in the area. Friendly service and very accommodating even got items for me so I could use the drive thru.

Bad enough that they are slow and often out of items, but then they decided not to serve military retirees by dropping Tricare. Now they are just being outright rude and condescending.

I hate having to walk past all the cigarette butts that cover the curbs. They sell brooms. Use them. Pharmacy's should be clean

I started going to this CVS because my insurance changed and I can no longer go to Walgreens. The pharmacy staff here are a perfect storm of incompetent and careless. Meds are constantly out of stock, leading to delays, and staff are so uncommunicative that even a filled prescription is difficult to collect. If you find yourself in the parking lot of this CVS, I recommend you turn yourself 90 degrees and head immediately for the Walgreens across the street. Regardless of whether you actually make it there or are struck by a car on Glendale and killed, you will be significantly better off.

I am not a fan of the CVS Pharmacy on Calumet Avenue. I use to get my meds filled there but had an unpleasant experience with one of the employees working the drive through a few years ago. So I had switched to Walgreens. My Mom is visiting for Thanksgiving and had a prescription she needed filled and she uses CVS. We went through the drive through on Sunday and were told it would be ready in an hour. Came back Tuesday and long story short it wasn't ready. Had to get out of line and go to another counter to be told they needed a DA number from the doctor. Never got an explanation what that was. I asked why no one called my Mom and the tech said they did. I looked at my Mom's cell phone and there was no message or missed call. When I told the tech that she told me my Mom must have a bad connection. Interesting that I heard someone else ask a clerk why they were not called and the clerk told them they had called but the customer had no record of it. Jen took over and starting typing in the computer and finally said she got insurance to accept it. Not sure why they didn't do that in the first place. We had to wait another 10 minutes for it to be filled. While waiting it was tacky to see three employees chomping on gum. One of the employees, Caitie, was vigorously chewing her gum with her mouth open and kept popping /cracking bubbles loudly. It was incredibly unprofessional. Caitie was also snippy to the customers, never smiled, never said please or thank you to people and acted as if the customers were disrupting her work. Not a good representative for CVS. We stopped at the front counter and spoke to the shift supervisor. We told her about the unpleasant experience we had with the pharmacy. She was very nice and listened to our complaint . We will not be returning to this CVS. The pharmacy staff need a refresher training in customer service because they clearly don't know or care how to speak to people or how to behave professionally.

This has to be the fastest pharmacy I've ever been to. When I arrived there were several people in line which Made me think I would be spending my afternoon waiting for my medication. I dropped off my Praescriptione and went to a few different aisles to gather some other items. About 5 minutes later they called my name that my prescription was filled. I couldn't ask for friendlier or more efficient service.

I am a paying customer who was picking out a whole new makeup selection since someone stole my makeup bag. I looked around the makeup aisles many times and a woman was following me around as i was a theif. I had only my wallet with me and was wearing a tee shirt and shorts. I dont know where she thought I was gonna stuff all of that s**t. But i finally turned around and eyeballed her, only then did she ask if i needed any help, and I said "yes i need you to stop following me around as if im some kind of criminal/thief" she apologized & pretended like she wasn't. I shocked her when I turned around and said that. I should have left my $374.75 cart full of cosmetics & went elsewhere. My only problem was that i didnt want to spend another 2 hours picking everything out. Prior to this i went in there a few times a week spending at least a couple hundred dollars, which does not include prescriptions. I will NEVER he returnimg to this store again. She wasn't even trying to be sneaky, and I was and STILL AM totally & completely INSULTED!!!! DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU'RE GOING IN AND OUT OTHERWISE YOULL BE FOLLOWED/ HARASSED/TREATED LIKE YOU'RE A PETTY CRIMINAL!!

I chose this CVS to make it easier for my family to help me pick up my prescriptions, if need be, after the passing of my husband and my new insurance uses CVS as a preferred provider. This is the worst decision I have made. They are always rushed, maybe one time did I get a friendly employee, they have messed up my prescriptions, horrible communication, and will never go out of their way to contact a doctor nor the customer verbally by phone. Previously I was using Walgreens because of my husband's insurance and the service was much better. I have now switched back to the CVS Pharmacy in Target which I loved prior to my husband's company switching to Walgreens as a preferred provider. I walked up to the CVS/Target counter and was immediately greeted by name by smiling helpful pharmacy team members. If you want good service and communication do not go to the pharmacy on Calumet.

I thought I would give cvs a try for a few prescriptions and one word wraps it up. Chaos. Dropped off prescription 1 hour wait...no problem. Came back later and drive through has 12 cars Huge line inside and one poor pharmacist trying to keep up. I know cvs is publicly traded and profit is king but when you don't have enough staff you will lose customers.like me
