This is the BEST place to get the advice and the materials for small home repairs! They always take good care of me, no matter how frazzled I am when I walk in. I love this place! I live out of state, but when I'm in Valpo helping my Mom I always go to Ace.

I went here to buy potting soil & they were the cheapest. I hadn't been in an Ace Hardware in years. I was shocked at how cool it was! It had everything you woykd need. Also they have so many "gifts." I'm having a hard time finding the right words? They have an area in front, off on the side "decorations," like wind chimes, knick knacks, & things you'd see in a Hallmark store, or a small Mom & Pop store in town. I know I'm not giving this explanation "justice?" It just was a big surprise to me.Plus the employees are so polite & helpful! Go in there & check it out.

Yeah I bought some bird seed on sale from one of your stores and the birds won't touch it. Lesson learned! Never buy bird seed on sale especially from Ace Hardware.

Ace is the helpful hardware placet hats been around since childhood. Prices may be a bit higher than big box store but have good quality.
