I have had a bank account since 2014 with First Financial Bank (sounds like I have been loyal to this people, right?) Now, I'm trying to close my bank account since I do not longer live in Indiana. I have called multiple times, and they were supposed to close my bank account on Friday, May 31st. At least, that's what they said. They asked me to drop the balance to $0.00, and that's what I did... Today 6/03/24 I checked, and I have a -$16 balance. I called asking why my bank account was not close as they told me. According to them, the system doesn't show that I have called multiple times, neither on the 31st. Now I have to pay $16 + $38 for overdraft balance.

Professional and all that, but avoid the drive through. It's ALWAYS a 30 minute ordeal just tk deposit some cash into my bank account, it's insane. I swear they only have like 1 teller working the window because this isn't right.

I've been going to first since I moved to Terre Haute in the late seventies. I've always gotten not just professional but friendly service. They have been there for all my banking needs and have helped me in any and every way possible. From checking and savings accounts to credit cards auto loans and mortgage, they've been there for it all! I don't believe any banking institution could do anymore or do it any better than First Financial! I have mostly used the Springhill Branch and have always been impressed by them recognizing me and knowing me by name. With as many customers that go through there it's that personal touch being greeted by name that really makes a big difference. It makes me feel like they appreciate me as much as I appreciate them.Great job to everyone at First Financial!

First off I want to take a moment to thank Lori Fox "Branch Manager" for going above and beyond. I walked into this bank and Terre Haute First Financial with a completely different mindset. At first, all I heard was no this and no that with lots of empty promises. I made my voice heard loud and clear about how I was treated and this branch in general. Then Lori came along and did something that truly shocked me and in this day and age you don't see much anymore. When something goes wrong in any public sector that involves "customer service" it's up to that entity to "make it right". Lori went above and beyond and did that for me. Terre Haute First you truly have a gem here with Lori and it would be in your best interest to keep her around and don't ever let her go. Because of her and no matter where my travels take me or where career goes I will always bank with Terre Haute First Financial. Thank you again Lori for all you have done I appreciate you and what you have done and continue to do!

I have been a customer of this bank for over 20 years. This is not a review of the other locations. I dont have a complaint to speak of on the other locations. Recently moved to the southside of town and will have to say that the Springhill location is the slowest drive through i have experienced. This review is not based on a singled out incident. With the amount of lanes they have at this location you would think they would be able to service you in a timely manor. Staff is always friendly but they have to know this is a problem.

I do not recommend banking here! The only reason I decided to bank here is because I moved to Terre Haute and they did not have a PNC here. They seem to have a fee for everything! They have an annual fee, a fee for cashing checks, a fee for writing a check, etc. (PNC does not have any of these).
