Sent my wife in with a check we got as a wedding present. That I had endorsed as required and they denied to allow her to deposit the check unless I became a member? I called customer support and was told the same thing. This is obviously just an attempt to gain members since we had previously deposited checks this way fine.0/10 terrible customer service. Will be moving accounts to my FI.

Don't ever bank here! They will call and give others information not allowed to give (payment amount and overdue amounts were given).I work for insurance and KNOW privacy rules in/out, apparently this bank does not at all take that seriously.

I love my local TCU branch. They’re always very helpful and courteous. I haven’t been with TCU very long. I became a member sometime in the mid 1970’s. I wouldn’t leave them for another!

The Portage branch team provides exceptional service. Asst. Manager Margie Reith has been especially helpful over the years. She's easy to get ahold of and quick to assist. There isn't a friendlier or more helpful bank in the area!

I've been with this bank over 11 years. Never have I been so disappointed but feel like I should get my lawyer involved and sue. Tired to get a loan with tcu they said all I need is a Co-signer to get my loan. I get a Co-signer, run their credit, I call back the next day to this bank and they said "Someone should of told you you were a 30 late pay on your last loan that I paid off so we're not going to accept this loan" Thanks so much tcu for Dinging my credit along with my Co-signers... DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BANK FOR NO LOAN DONT WASTE YOUR TIME...

My husband and I have banked with TCU for 17+ years and have never had a bad encounter. They welcome us with a smile, they ensure I have what we need before we leave. They give great advice on ways to save money. During the current corona environment, the drive up tellers are very helpful, patient and friendly. I love my TCU!

I got lied to by TCU.This is the worst bank for an entrepreneurThey told me I wouldn’t have a problem getting a loanTill I tired to get a small business loan for my businessThey gave me a bunch of run aroundsEven missed making a payment on my visa I asked them to make. But we’re quick to report to the credit bureau. Please double check them. When you bank with them Worse then McDonald drive-through

Just opened an account with TCU a couple weeks ago (after being with Chase for nearly 10 years) and made an in person appointment to get my debit card and ask few more questions. First off, it was super easy to make an appointment. And when I got there, it was easy to find and park. Walking in...this has got to be the nicest bank lobby ive ever set foot in. Stained wood accents, polished safety deposit boxes, it was really remarkable! I met with Pauletta and she was fantastic. Answered all of my questions and helped me out with all the warm and fuzzy things i didn't get when opening the account online. Definitely doing more banking here in person when we can! Yay bank switching!

Planned a critical bank trip to this location, and gave myself 45 minutes. Waiting 10 min for one car in front of me and then sat waiting for them to talk to me through the speaker. After close to 20 min waiting at the speaker I pressed the button and was told I needed to wait my turn after 4 cars on the 2 lanes next to me had already gone through. All 4 were after me. Car behind me was able to back out and go through and finish. All told 7 cars were taken care of ahead that were behind me of me while I was at the speaker. Fortunately customers did not impact their ability to have a good time inside. Being in the close lane you are able to clearly see them having a good time while they don't pay attention to those taking lunch breaks to try to bank. After 30 minutes at the speaker with no help I was fortunate enough to now have to come back over the weekend. Thank you TCU for the opportunity to attempt to get through your drive through again on a special trip over the weekend. I am glad you Employees got to enjoy their holiday earlier during business hours.

Truly appalling service and even more concerning levels of poor organization from this company. I have been absolutely floored by the incompetence and inconsideration this company has exemplified. My husband's dilemma was a direct mistake of TCU and took initial effort, not of the company, but of the customer, to complain on social media to get any recognition. This completely unnecessary debacle had to be dealt with by a 28 year old son grieving the sudden death of his father. You should be totally ashamed. TCU transferred the loan amount of Nathan's deceased father's car into Nathan's name, but not the title, so Nathan owed TCU money, but couldn't drive the car. TCU f***** up this painful process so bad, a TCU agent had to physically go INTO a BMV branch to explain how they messed up so badly in order to get the title in Nathan's name. It took him complaining on FB to even get attention to the issue. He spent probably two months just being transferred around the company and being hung up on. So they took forever to finally get the title registered in his name (literal months) and the car just sat there and couldn't be driven. Since the car sat for so long, it has all these issues now and they refuse to give him any kind of compensation for repairs. No, I'm sorry, they offered him $200, which is a slap in the face.
