Just replaced all my ball joints tire rods wheel bearings upper control arms literally everything on my truck took it here to have them do an alignment and I think when they realized it was a company vehicle they were going to upcharge a bunch of stuff and told me that I needed everything replaced I laughed and told them that it was all brand new and that's the only reason I needed an alignment the only thing that was wrong that I can find was a torn boot on a tire rod they wanted me to replace both wheel bearings all my ball joints tire rods rack and pinion and some other stuff which would have been a lot of money to get from a company alarm the company owner and a mechanic I only needed an alignment

This place is great. Professional. Caring. I took my car for an oil change. They did a very THOROUGH inspection of my car. Took the time to go over every item they found needing attention Helped me in prioritizing. Provided quote. Best of all...not pushy. I did not feel any pressure from Mike (or John). Just the facts and the solutions. Their price on one of the items was far lower than I had quoted elsewhere (yeah, I sorta knew about this!!). I am so happy they chose the Southside for this location. I would highly recommend them. Thanks, guys.

Super friendly staff and very timely about getting things done too. I had an appointment at 1 to have some tires put on my truck and I arrived about 15 minutes early. They checked me in and the mechanic working on my vehicle almost immediately pulled my truck in and started working on it. Mechanic said it’d take him about 45 minutes and let me tell you I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone estimate how long something will take more accurately than he did. I was heading home by about 1:35-1:40 time frame. Excellent service. Definitely recommend!

This year on a long trip on a sunny day I found that the air conditioning in my 16-year-old car was not working. The same thing had happened last year. That time I brought my car to my dealer's shop for repair. They said that the A/C compressor was leaking and the refrigerant was all gone. They ordered a new compressor and charged the system with refrigerant. The compressor never came, but the recharge lasted the rest of the season.
Earlier this year I had received a large postcard from Skiles Automotive Service, offering maintenance and/or repair, including A/C repair. When my A/C needed repair I decided to take my car to Skiles.
The techs at Skiles found that the refrigerant leak was not in the compressor but in the condenser. Apparently sometime on the highway a stone had come through the front grill of my car and punched a hole in one of the condenser tubes. They put in a new condenser and recharged the system with refrigerant, and now I have A/C again. As John said after testing the repair, it's "ice cold."
My whole experience at Skiles was very good, very pleasant. They explained what they found, what was needed, and estimated the cost. It is clear to me that they are very good at what they do.
From now on, Skiles Automotive Service is the place for all my maintenance and repair on my car.

I gave two stars because how kind and polite the gentleman that work here are. Everyone is super nice but the pricing here is actually insane. I was quoted 1300 for a job that every other shop in the area quoted me over half the price on. I ended up just buying the part and replacing it myself in 15 minutes. I got quoted $1,000 worth of labor for 15 minutes worth of work. I spent 300 on the part I needed. If you’re looking to save money this is not the place to go.

Would absolutely recommend Skiles to anybody/everybody. They do what they say and say what they do. They take pride in their work, John was a great guy to work with. Finally found a good place to take our vehicles.
