My kid (5) had a really good time here. I think he would have stayed all day. So glad they finally opened up again.Edit: It is small however, and our 2nd and 3rd visits were much shorter once the newness had worn off. Still had a good time though.

My children are 4 and they just love the Studebaker museum/kids first museum... The kids mechanics shop is totally cool and the canoe and historic days area downstairs is fabulous.. but, if you don't know about the kids area you will absolutely miss it. Ask the attendant, they will point you in the right direction!!

Best for smaller kids. Not really a children's museum of its own, but a children's section of the History museum. (Pairs well with the small kids "pit stop" exhibit inside the Studebaker museum.) Especially worth checking out for the 3-6 set. But I wouldn't expect to spend more than about 30 minutes unless you go during one of the programs. South Bend residents can borrow museum passes for free at the library with their library card.

It was nothing to look at. It was not exciting. It was advised as having a story time, but there was none.
