We stayed here to watch the Notre Dame game! The ladies at the front desk were awesome ?. They provided maps and details about campus. Super friendly! The game day breakfast spread was pretty nice, better than any other hotel we've been too. There are lots of local shops, and restaurants nearby and gas stations. Additionally on game day you can drive to the next Holiday inn and they provide a shuttle from there to the games. We drove from the hotel and walked and shuttled from Holy Cross. 15 min walk 5 min ride. This is a great hotel in the perfect location.

Beware Holiday Inn express charges you an incidental fee automatically of $100 dollars, and it doesn't go back onto your account right away. If there were no incidents, I'm still waiting after a week to show back on my bank account. Not only that, but they switched my room, and when they switchedthey charged me another $100. Just be aware they have nice emenities there, but they charge you this fee. They don't hold a credit card. They charge it automatically. I asked to speak to a manager today and was told there were no managers on the weekends. Love how they can use my 200 bucks for 7 days and counting!IT HAS NOW BEEN TWO WEEKS AND STILL NO SIGN OF MY $200.00 BACK IN MY BANK ACCOUNT. I CHECKED WITH MY BANK AND HAD STILL NOT BEEN SENT WHICH MEANS THEY LIED TO ME THE FIRST WEEK. NOT REPUTABLE BUSINESS.Noteworthy details: If you cannot afford to be charged a $100 up front for incidentals that may or may not happen. This is not the hotel for you.

They were located very close to the location I needed for work and within great distance to the Casino. Staff was very friendly and the room was nice. It also included free breakfast in the morning.

I had a room booked for a game weekend. Cancelled 6 weeks ahead of time and didn’t get a refund and still had to pay for the room even though we’re not going. Then I look to see if rooms are available for that weekend. And they’ve doubled the price for the same room. We’re not going, I just knew they wouldn’t have a problem filling that room. It’s all about the money. I reached out to get a refund and they said they couldn’t do it. Pathetic that they double their prices for game weekends anyways. Won’t be staying here again.

Staying in a suite. POSITIVE -The 2 KING beds separate by a door so some privacy. Had sinks inside and outside the bathroom - nice for teeth brushing while someone else is in the shower. Breakfast is one of the best. Walking distance to a DQ. About 2 miles from Notre Dame campus - but on the not popular side.NEGATIVE - pool unheated. Fitness center is missing all the pins so you can't change the weights on the machines. And...Story time! We checked in around 730 pm. They have a nice little coffee bar available in the lobby but someone must have spilled hot chocolate. We go up to our room... around 830 I come down to use the pool - spill is still there. I get out of the pool around 10pm - spill is still there. I've done enough reading on Reddit "Tales from the Front Desk" to know things get busy and are sometimes understaffed. I hope this was just a one time incident.

Checked in without a reservation with no problem. Glad they take AARP. Room and hotel in general is in great condition. Not sure of age but obviously newer. Only ding was room was not attended to on day one. Since it was just me, no real issue, but for an IHG hotel, I was surprised. Reported it to FD. UPDATE - room was perfect the next day. Thank you, I’ll be back.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are nice, clean and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. The rates went up substantially for the weekend but the quality of service didn't match the price I paid. The breakfast was mediocre. There was a variety of options; however, the taste was not great. The kids picked at the food and didn't drink the juice. The juice was thick and not diluted or something was wrong. The food was not seasoned, very bland. The staff at breakfast were very amazing and accommodating even with a large amount of people. We tried to get a later check out time but was told that we should have asked earlier. We weren't told at check in that a specific time was needed. Check out is at 11, so pretty early. Our keys to the room were turned off at 10 so we had to come back downstairs and have them turned back on which cut into the packing time. There is only one elevator and with the building being at capacity, we had to wait a substantial amount of time to get up and down the stairs. The room to the pool is heated; however, the water was very cold. There were no towels in the pool area. Over all for over$250, I expected better service. It's a nice hotel, just not worth that amount of money. I'm not sure I would choose this hotel again; however, it was very convenient. It is right off the highway and only a few miles from the Fairground. There were a lot of youth at the hotel, so noise above us was not desirable. The noise lasted until at least midnight.Rooms: Large and updated. The bed and linen were really nice. The room was equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave.

These people are great! I read some other reviews and it did not reflect the great experience I had. I have now stayed at this hotel 3 times over the past 15 years. We booked three (3) rooms with two people in each. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The staff at the desk and throughout the hotel were great. I called a few days later as I had left something in the room and they bent over backwards to help me out. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel without hesitation. It is very easy to get to as its so close to the exit ramp.

Wonderful stay. I stay at Holiday Inn Express locations nationwide because they are always top notch, and this location upheld those standards. Their biscuits and gray at this location were particularly good. The only thing missing was the hot tub. I heard the hotel chains are removing hot tubs, and that's very disappointing to me personally.

Generally a nice place; clean, nice pool, spacious suites. Though, several little things were off that aren't huge, but give a little sense of incomplete-ness (USB wall outlets unusable because the sockets were mis-aligned to the faceplates, microwave missing a rubber foot, so items didn't sit straight, wall scuffs repainted with the right color, but wrong shininess, many hallway light shades warped and cracked from apparently too-hot bulbs, thermostat in room had no power, so unable to adjust temperature)Food & drinks: Several chain restaurants within a block or two

The room was not a true suite and not what pictures showed. A light was out, stains on the floor, the pool had some sort of scum on the top of the water, breakfast closed an hour earlier than was displayed and the cook was rude about it-the hotel had MANY people so it wasn't just one family who wanted to eat. We tried to talk to someone ,but no one was ever at the front desk. Pull out couch had no sheets, and we only had one towel for a suite. Pull out couch was also insanely uncomfortable. No mirror in the room except tucked away in an awkward spot. Lighting was werd and dark.

Check in process was long and had several “computer issues”. We never had a room key that worked more than 1 use. We had to go to the counter and get a new key every single time we left our room. Room had 1 towel in it for 6 guests. There were no sheets for the pull out sofa that also had old rice between the cushions since it wasn’t cleaned since the last guest. Pool area had no towels available. The down button on the 3rd floor didn’t work so you had to press the up button and wait for the elevator to go down and then come back up and then possibly go up to the 4th floor before you could go to the first floor. Everytime we had to go to the front counter only 1 person was working and had 2-3 people complaining that something was wrong w/ their reservation or room, etc. one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at and I stay at quite a few thru my career.

This location looks to be pretty new and I found it to be in good condition. Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The common areas also looked to be well maintained. There was a typical sized pool for a HIE and it was a comfortable temperature. It was conveniently located right off the highway and there were several food options nearby. The breakfast area was well-stocked and kept clean. There were a couple issues I noticed, the first was the thermostat in our room, it had an error message on it and we were unable to adjust the temperature. Second the pool had an odd smell to it while we were using it; we attempted to use it in the morning before we left but were told we'd have to wait an hour because they were putting chemicals in it. I understand needing to clean the pool but it was frustrating that they didn't do this before the pool's posted open hours. Finally, we requested a room on a higher floor and we were given a room right off the lobby on the first floor. The hotel was pretty empty so it was not a matter of availability.Overall, it was a good place to stay as we passed through and the price was reasonable. I would stay here again.

Where to even begin? Let's start with hospitality industry usually has some form of treat your guest right. But not here.We were in town for a hockey tournament where we had to stay there since it was a "stay and Play" tournament, our group was 1 of 4 teams staying there. But I guess we all get lumped together by the rude, nasty, and just terrible employees. Saturday night at the I guess the very late time of 6:00pm(yes while the sun was still out) several group stayed in the lobby eating, talking, and just hanging out with there groups since it was snowing outside. No one yelling, no fighting, none our group kids running around acting like fools. Our kids were sitting down eating after playing hockey game, which prior to doing this we asked for permission from the manager that agreed we could. Then one of the desk lady came out lost here mind on EVERYONE!!! She was yelling to shut up and go your rooms, I forgot we were prisoners and not paying guest. She told our group we had 20 minutes to feed our kids and then get out of the lobby!! There are 16 10 year old girls. Have you ever tried to feed kids? 20 minutes really? We showed her the email and told her the manager approved our group. She went on to stand in the middle of the lobby yelling at all the people saying they(the hotel) are getting noise complaints that people are trying to sleep. Which seems like a far fetched deal to me. Once again this was Saturday at 6:00pm. She continue to yell and called the police on all guests. The police showed up and really just ask people to keep it down. I spoke to an officer and he said people are talking and laughing no yelling not being crazy just normal socializing. After 15 minute the police left. Then the lady from the hotel continued to yell and told several guest to shut up and just leave. So apparently another group, not ours, called the police on the crazy lady yelling at everyone. They came back with the manager. The manager came and gave some dumb speech around 7:00pm. As she noticed what seems to be a completely different issue of people, not sure who none of our group nor the people in the lobby, running on the 2nd floor. Which I assumed what people were complaining about and not people socializing in the lobby, you could not hear from the first floor rooms(my room was right around the corner from the lobby and could not hear anything from my room when I checked).IF you can't treat guests right I suggest taking your hotel off the Stay and Play list. People are going to socialize in an open lobby during the times you state we can. I hope NO other travel teams stay here unless you like being treat like garbage and prisoners!!!! Besides that there was NO hot water, the breakfast was gross looking, and employees just hate people.
