Staff were courteous and friendly. Parking was accessible and convenient. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. We had a great view of Notre Dame football stadium and the campus was within walking distance. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options and offerings. We enjoyed our stay even though it was only limited to one night. Looking forward to returning for a longer stay in the future.

I was going to take my kids to a Notre Dame football game on November 9th. I accidentally booked a room at Embassy suites South Bend on October 8-10 instead of November 8-10. When I realized my mistake I immediately called the hotel to advise what happened. I was advised by Ms Virty that I was being penalized 303.00 as a no show. I explained that I’m a hard working person who was trying to take his kids to a game, I made an honest mistake. I was told that the policy is the policy. My kids are of course very upset as am I. Not sure why a billion dollar corporation couldn’t forgive an honest mistake. Be very careful making your reservation as if you make a mistake it will cost you.

If your traveling to South Bend Indiana I highly recommend Embassy Suites. Clean room. Great breakfast!

Hotel would have been great but the showers were horrible. I complained for several days about the water temperature. The hotel staff told me that the water temperature was set to 120 degrees and the water in my bathroom was 119. That water out of the bathtub faucet may have been 119 degrees but the water out of the shower head was significantly colder. I had to take a shower by using the ice bucket to get water from the bathtub faucet to pour over my body, otherwise it felt like I was taking a cold plunge. I only used the hotel to sleep and shower and one of those experiences was horrible.

Very nice hotel with big, comfortable rooms and hot breakfast. (I didn't love the watery scrambled eggs, but everything else at breakfast was tasty.) Location is good too, near a lot of shops and bars. About a ten-minute walk to campus.
There's a complimentary cocktail hour at 5 PM, but I didn't have time for it.

Nice stay, big free brrakfast included with room, comfy bed. Everyone on our coach slept well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great location. Lots of choice for dining nearby as well on Eddy Street.

Was excited to bring my son to visit the University of Notre Dame and even reserved a premium campus view corner room at this hotel. I was told by my wife, after going up to the room ahead of me, that she didn't think that we got the premium room. I asked the front desk staff who then informed me that they did not have any more of that room type and that I had been downgraded. Up to this point I had received no notification of the downgrade including when checking in. I questioned the price difference for the rooms and was told not to worry, my price was lower. After getting home I found out that I had paid the premium room price, called the hotel to explain the issue and a week later I still have not seen any refund for the difference. Had a reservation for 4 people but only had 3 towels in the room. Found lipstick along the rim of one of the supposedly clean drinking glasses. Telephone handset did not work, one of the TV remotes did not work.

$8 water??? Come on guys I know times are tough but this isn't the ball park or the stadium. $15 parking add on as well. Beautiful place but watch hidden costs.
Nearby activities: ND football close by.
Walkability: Good shops and food around.

We had a morning flight so we decided to make the trip easier by staying the night closer to SBN. We were very happy with everything. The parking was easy, great breakfast, the kids loved the pool and we all slept well. This is what we expect from an Embassy Suite and we will likely stay here again when we flight out of SBN again.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and it has always been a good experience. The people are pleasant and professional. It's a good clean hotel with a great location. Very convenient to the Notre Dame campus. I would definitely recommend this location.
