“Passing through and saw this cool local attraction in the middle of town. Had to share a few pics we took. Parked on the street and saw some people relaxing on the shore.”

“I'm in Pennsylvania, not Indiana, so I've never gotten to come in person. But since I no longer have a local bookstore, Brain Lair has become so for me. Kathy is a gem of a human being, and does so very much to boost voices that have too often been ignored, and to share the joy and importance of reading with young people. The online store has a fantastic selection.”

“I had an overall excellent experience visiting this store. The associate on duty was very cordial, helpful and made me feel validated. I'd recommend visiting the physical store, as it is set up nicely and provides exactly what you set out for.”

“An absolutely fantastic book store and game shop! Its got everything you could want: tons of different gaming supplies, a dedicated gaming space, diverse book offerings, and very friendly staff. I wish there was a place like this in my own hometown, but South Bend has a true gem here.”

“My visit to the Hammers Bookstore and Cafe resulted as a part of a larger weekend to see a few hockey games on campus. We decided to stop by the Commons close to campus and look at the apparel available at this location. The floor is definitely clean and well kept up. Nothing looked out of place, from general displays to clothes hanging on all their proper racks. The staff were friendly and helped me with questions I had in regards to finding a different size for a sweatshirt I was trying to locate.I'd definitely come back here to shop on a return visit to campus. There is plenty to do in the area, both for food and just casually exploring the area. Thanks for a great experience!”

“The bookstore is underground between Northside Hall and the library. You can reach the bookstore from both Northside Hall and the library by going to the basement and taking the tunnel that runs between the two.”
