This hotel was clean, quiet and very very nice. The staff were polite and very friendly. Breakfast rocked and this hotel was less expensive than any of the others in the area. I have told all my friends. And I loved that I could call the hotel and they actually answered their phones and took care of me right then. Our forever place when we go back to the Casino !

I never sleep well in hotels..especially pregnant, but the beds with the pillow top were so soft and comfortable and the sheets were so soft. I honestly wasn’t expecting this place to be as nice as it was. Breakfast was very good too.

This is my second post. My first one seems to have disappeared. Very loud upstairs neighbors, a live crawling bed bug on my blanket and a manger who didn’t seem to care.

Staff was incredibly friendly! The snow and ice made this hotel fill up fast. Luckily, we had a reservation. Despite being packed, there was little noise. We were right next to the elevator and couldn't hear it at all! We've stayed in nicer hotels that you could hear the elevator all night. The doors to the rooms could use replaced. Almost every single door has visible gaps where light can come through. This does allow for sound to travel in your room, but we never expect complete silence. Rooms were clean and well kept! Definitely a surprise for Shelbyville!

Staff was friendly upon check in. $150 a night was a little steep though, they have a heated pool that is open 10-10 and a hot breakfast from 6-9am. The elevator had a weird smell and our room was even worse!!! Smelled like mildew:(There is a fridge in your room as well as a tv and microwave but u have to go to the first floor to get ice and the vending machine only had water and orange crush. The bed was extra firm, but the pillows were fluffy but it's hard to get over the smell, had to run fan all night because it was so musty. Woke up early to try the breakfast, not bad , they had 2 different kinds of waffles, eggs sausage and biscuits & gravy, it was a little salty in my opinion. They also had fresh fruit, pastry , bagels and toast. And finally the most annoying part is there is NO cancelation after you book your reservations!!! NO if, ands or butts about it, I tried!

Desk person, Tony was exceptionally helpful and patient as I worked through booking several room for various family members. I have passed this motel several times, and this will be the first to use it. If the rooms are as nice as Tony, I think my family will be very pleased with their stay. Great service so far!

Close to Horseshoe Indiana and restaurants and convenient/gas stores.
Rooms: Beds are comfortable. Mini- fridge and microwave in room.
Food & drinks: Vending machines, drinks and snacks. All day lemonade and coffee. Great selection of teas.

Would not allow me a refund when we had to cancel due to illness.I called the hotel and spoke with the front desk and was told they would have to clear a refund with the manager and call me back later, but I never received a call. I called Comfort Inn/Choice Hotel customer service and spoke with 3 agents, who all advised me that even though our reservation was an advance purchase rate, the manager of this hotel CAN issue refunds at their discretion.Only after I emailed this hotel did I receive an email from a Marty stating that they would not issue a refund due to illness.Corporate Customer service wasn’t helpful at all even though I am a “member.”I usually stay at Hilton hotels and have never had an issue like this before. After this experience with Comfort Inn/Choice Hotels, I will avoid them in the future.

Didn’t realize how much I cared about ratings/stars on hotels until we recently stayed in a number of really bad ones. This hotel, however, was great. Clean, nice sized rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, no weird smells. The only minor, minor thing was the cleaning service forgot to replace the shampoo, so our room had a half empty bottle in it. But otherwise, I would definitely stay here again. We have 2 kids (2yoa and 2 months old) and we got stuck in traffic for a terrible accident. Didn’t arrive until 4am. We called ahead to let them know and the front desk made sure we were all checked in ahead of time and preemptively gave us a late check out. We just walked in the door, he handed us the room keys and we went straight to the room.

Very great front desk staff, great breakfast area, and clean rooms with comfy beds and pillows! We were stuck in a standstill on the interstate for 4 hours so wouldn’t make it to our reserved room until 4am, and when we called to inform them they gave us a late checkout without asking.

The road was not well lit and only one unlit sign, but a great comfortable bed and quiet room.
