“I had a check engine light fire a sensor that after trowing would intermittently return. Could not figure it out myself. Ton of to M&M Car Care in Merrillville for a diagnostic. They called the next day and told me it was repaired. They found a broken wire on the wiring harness for that sensor. I wish I would have just gone to them 1st so I didn't waste money and time replacing a good sensor myself, but lesson learned. The staff was great. From now on I'm just going to them in the first place.”

I took it to Larry and he scanned my car, diagnosed the issues, fixed my exhaust while staying 2 hours after closing on a Saturday to fix the exhaust for $60!!!! “Rebuilt trans and new torque converter in my 02 Cherokee almost a year ago. Had to go back once due to minor shift cable linkage problem. Definitely wasn’t the cheapest option but it is one of only few places that still rebuilds transmissions and offered a year warranty. If you get a check engine light for tcc or notice any problems shifting in your jeep, get new torque converter and checked out right away. The converters are known for breaking apart and then damaging your entire trans. Learn from my mistake.”

“I was referred to Competition Transmission and it turned out to be a great referral. After examining my vehicle Joe suggested, because of what he found I take my vehicle to Mastertech for repairs which were not transmission related and come back to him for a transmisson flush. I followed Joe's instructions, got those repairs done and went back to Joe for his service. Now my vehicle is riding like a new vehicle. I'm very pleased and would recommend his services for anyone who needs his services. I previously went to another shop that stated I needed a new transmission and quoted a price of $6500. Sure happy I got a second opinion from Joe. He saved me a lot of money.”
“You know I have never had a fantastic experience like this before, or a most honest mechanic and owner as I did in Harold at Widco transmission. I took our mountaineer in to have my transmission rebuild and Harold called me a week later to let me know it wasn't the transmission at all. It was a problem with the drain plug and a crack. He fixed the crack changed the fluid out and fixed the drain plug. He saved me hundreds of dollars. I bless you Widco and thanks so much Harold for your utmost honesty. “Excellent service. Fast as well. Week later the problem I came in for still hasn’t return. They diagnosed the problem efficiently. If it wasn’t for the warranty coverage company delays. I would’ve been out of there in under an hour. Once my part arrived from the auto parts store. I was out of there in less than an hour afterwards. Considering I was a walk in, that’s pretty fast. Even without a warranty their prices are reasonable. They get the job done. Not sure if he is the owner, but the guy at the front desk is a great guy. Keeps you informed throughout the process. I will be back, and highly recommend this location”
