I have bee dealing with this shop since July 2 2024 they have continually told me that my car has a short and that’s the reason the transmission will not hock up but I have taken the car on 3 occasions and each time they tell it’s a bad TCM they have ran test for shorts and have found none .I have had a independent mechanic to check for problems but none were found at this point I am out about $3500 and no car for 3 months I would not take any vehicle to this shop unless you have lots of and time to hear the same thing over and over again I will be surprised if they will be in business very much longer I am placing a complaint on BB website and speaking with lawyer save yourself the headache don’t go to this shop

Had my suv brought to this location because it was the closest to me. I was told by the elderly owner that my trans needed to be rebuilt with a quote of $3600 with a 1 yr warranty. I told them I only had $2600. They agreed to do the work for what I had but with only a 6 month warranty. I told the owner I would agree if they put a 1 yr warranty on it. They agreed. 7 months later I was having issues again so I brought my vehicle back and showed the warranty and noticed that they wrote on the receipt that there was only a 6 month warranty on it, which wasn't the agreement. Then they wanted to charge me another $400 to fix the electric component that they claimed they replaced during the rebuild. These guys are scammers.

Honestly bless this business and everyone who works here. They are amazing. The service was amazing they were very patient, understanding, honest and helpful.

Took my car in and told them I had two separate trans leaks they called me back and said it was the trans pan and they can fix it for $470 I gave the go ahead to fix when they called me to pick car up I asked again if there were any other leaks he said no. Sure enough after next time I started car to let warm up I noticed a fresh puddle on ground looked under car and it’s actively leaking from trans case. I called shop back and said still leaking, he argues with me that they don’t send cars back that are still leaking so after 5 minutes of arguing that the car is indeed still leaking he say to bring it back he will check it out for free. I drive it back up there 15 minutes away with a leaking trans drop it off he calls back an hour later saying the trans pan is completely dry but case is leaking and to be fixed the transmission would need to be taken apart and he “doesn’t want to get involved with it” and to pick up car and take somewhere else. Doesn’t surprise me though most mechanics are crooks.

These guys have always been good to me. Honest and quality work at a reasonable price. Anytime I have transmission issues, I come here.

Just fyi.... if you want to be taken advantage of do business with ATLAS TRANSMISSION over in schererville Ind, we took our car there over aweek ago for an issue we had , (we have a vehicle warranty) they discovered the issue but never called the warranty company, they told us they weren't going to that we had to.. fine we did, once they found out the warranty company was gonna pay they doubled the amount of cost. So we decided to pick up the car and go somewhere else with that they talked my wife very rude and called her stupid and some other things. After picking up the car i asked who called my wife stupid... i was told she only talked the the guy behind the counter or his father found out it was his father. Way to run a business....so some words were exchanged (guess he didn't like it) so he called the police. But its ok for them a business to talk to women that way and DOUBLE the repair bill. This isn't the only complaint that I've seen on this place. Please spread this so someone that really cant aford to be taken advadvantage of or there scam of doubling the bill. They should be talking to you with RESPECT as a employee to a customer.....So please just take your vehicle to somewhere else that looks out and actually helps customers. There will be an update on this once it goes in to the new repair shop.

Paid them $1500 to rebuild my transmission. Less than two weeks later it went out. They told me the engine was bad. Took it to get a second opinion turns out it was the fly wheel. They wouldn’t touch or fix it. Bad service, liars , crooks. Don’t use them.Service: Transmission

I would give zero stars if I could. They gave me a price to rebuild the transmission on my truck. When I called on the day I was supposed to pick it up they told me it wasn't right they had to change the valve bodies. Called to pick it up again they said it still wasn't right....that they took one of the shelf and it had problems so they would need to rebuild my original like they were supposed to from the start. Picked it up after two weeks and shifting really hard. I was told its a learning transmission that I have to drive it for awhile. A week later may transmission light came on. I took it to them and the trans lines were leaking and they wanted to charge $400 to fix. took it to a different shop and had the trans lines replaced. They were leaking because they got kinked when re-installing. Worst experience at any automotive shop ever!!Service: Transmission
