Over the past almost 4 years I've been taking my pup here, I've had nothing but good experiences. From the techs to the desk staff to the vets, a great group of people that you can clearly see love animals.

Prices are high and they don’t solve any issues with your animals, expect to come in multiple times before they find a solution (if they even do) and you’ll have to pay for a consultation every single time you come in even if it’s for the same reoccurring issue, the vets here dont care about your animal

Took my 13week old Shepherd for booster shots and had a question about her scratching. I don’t understand how a literal 5 min question deserves a $65 consultation fee?? I wasnt warned about a charge to ask a question. I was offered a free puppy nail trim, great. The girl who brought her back told me with an attitude “you need to be playing with her paws. She hated that.” When I said that I do, the attitude on her face was unnecessary cause she didn’t believe me. I drive 40mins to this vet with two dogs. I may be looking for a new vet. The unnecessary $65 charge is ridiculous

Very satisfied with our first visit today. Our pup was vomiting a lot with bloody stools so naturally we needed to get her checked. When I arrived at Coyne, check in was quick and we were brought into a room in a timely manner. Dr. Vandermyde was great. She took the time to listen to all of our concerns and she did not make us feel rushed. We know our baby girl was well taken care of.

Kaila from Coyne Vet has become such a wonderful friend to Wheezie and me through the years. What an incredible asset she is to Coyne. Wheezie adores Kaila every time she comes into the clinic seeing her wonderful personality and smiling face! We love Kaila and Coyne in St John!

Dr. Rachel Vandermyde is the absolute best. She really knows her stuff, explains everything thoroughly and is so sweet and tender with our dogs. Every time we go and have the pleasure of working with her we’re relieved. In addition, the staff are always prompt (as possible given it’s a walk in clinic), respectful and intelligent. Our tech today was wonderful too. Thanks Coyne ❤️

Very disappointed with how they handle their accounts. I have my dogs on their wellness plans but had issues with money & fell behind. When we called to give them the new card info, they failed to update it which made the account delinquent & now they want more money to “reinstate” the account when they couldn’t follow simple directions of updating the information.
Such a horrible experience.
Coyne, teach your staff to do their job correctly upon receiving patients vs having them wait over an hour & a half just to refuse service.

I took are very ill dog Penny there. They were all amazing! She was diagnosed with kidney failure and I was told she only had a day or two left. I was told she should be put to sleep, but decided to take her home for one last night with us. Sadly she passed the next day before we could take her back in. We were sent a sympathy card when they found out. Everyone was kind and caring and I thought the price was reasonable.

Grooming is fine. My wife brought our dog here on a Monday and left him for grooming and shots. We paid $75 for a wellness exam. Nothing came up on the wellness exam from the vet. On Wednesday my wife noticed our dog had an ear infection (that he is prone to and is treated for yearly in allergy season). She called the vet to get a prescription for ear treatment and they wouldn’t without another wellness visit. My wife took our dog in again and told the vet the story. The vet wouldn’t agree to prescribe ear treatment without paying for another wellness visit. We were charged $100 for the second wellness visit in 2 days. Rip off.

We moved here a few months ago and was referred to Coyne. It’s always nerve racking when you go to a new place and was very happy with this facility. We have been here many times now due to our puppy having allergies and this last time- a few weeks ago, we were told the wrong information and have had MANY issues since until today. We had to come back again (3rd time in 2 week’s) and we saw Dr. Porto . Hands down one of the best there. She took the time, asked many questions, listened to us and our concerns and walked us through the tests. We have a puppy with anxiety and she worked with him to gain her trust. She’s even took the time to talk to family on the phone to explain everything. Also, Roxann at the front desk-manager is absolutely the best too. She has helped us SO much and took care of us today. This location is very lucky to have these two ladies working there. Thank you both for helping Cooper feel better ?

We were referred to Coyne a number of years ago by a co-worker of mine that also worked at Coyne. Our first time bringing Paisley to the office when they were still in alsip nursery, the staff and doctors were nothing short of amazing. We soon added to our animal family, and Coyne was our forever veterinarian. Now we have Chance, Honey, and Milo. A few months ago, Paisley started to have seizures, we quickly brought her in, and the care for her was so gentle. Sadly, Paisleys condition worsened, and we made the decision for a soft goodbye. The whole staff here at Coyne was amazing, let us have all the time in the world with Paisley, and treated her with the utmost gentle and dignified way. We miss her dearly, and know she is with us always, and thank you everyone at Coyne veterinary clinic for everything you do for not only our family, but everyone else.

Overpriced rude and unprofessional! Border on neglect!
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EVEN WORSE IS THE MANAGEMENT! Take your pets to a back alley vet before you bring them here!
