Called ahead to see if I could get my Samsung galaxy z flip 4 fixed was told yeah they can do it set an appointment drove almost an hour to be told they don't work on Samsung devices and that I would have to drive another hour out of my way to Daytons location

An updated review... it has been a long time since being at this Best Buy location. We were in need of some certain cables for our business computers. We found the employees (with the exception of one younger woman) to be condescending, and they acted like they were rather put off to have to answer our questions or show us where the products were - as the store had been rearranged since our last visit. They didn't have what we required and the salesman seemed to put down the fact that our business uses Dell computers.... We actually found what we needed at WalMart across the street.

Well lets see....I bought a new HP Laptop just for personal use on 7-27-2020, in fact it was the last one at Best Buy. Sales people were all nice and helpful. About 43 days later after use I powered down and shut off. The next morning when I went to turn on.....NOTHING! I tried and retried and did a hard boot....NOTHING. i contacted our IT person Joe O'Brien and explained what was happening and what all I had tried. He stopped by and checked out the Laptop and agreed totally DEAD. I told him the previous night I noticed it seemed hotter than normal but it seemed okay. He thought the fan stopped and fried the inside. He suggested we take it back to Best Buy, so off we went! Well we knew we were past the 30 day return but thought since it was DEAD they would allow me to return and put some extra cash with a return and get a different one......I talked with a female manager (LOL) and she didn't care it was past 30 days. I needed to see the Geek Squad....so over to the Geek Squad and immediately the person said oh I bet the mother board went out.....I explained what our IT found and it was DEAD. Oh let me try a different power cord....i told him that had been checked before we brought it in....but he tried and the cord was just fine...DUH. The Geek Guy said it would have to be evaluated by the main office and then would come back with their decision. I ask how long would that take expecting a fairly quick turn around since the Laptop was almost brand new. The Geek Guy said oh probably 4-6 weeks. So I would not have a Laptop for 6 weeks...he looked and said 'YES' or I could buy a new one and if the main office agreed it was DEAD then they could apply the money from the first one. Needless to say, I wasn't happy and neither was my husband and Best Buy didn't care. My husband told them to shove it and we left (Never to darken that store again)! So we went to visit Office Depot and we told the manager what had happened, he said he would never allowed that to happen and when we left would have a new Laptop with us. Soooo we bought a Lenovo and left happy with the assurance if anything happened to let him know. Moral of the story....JUST BECAUSE A BUSINESS SELLS ELECTRONICS DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN IT IS THE BEST DEAL. You need a company who backs what they sell when something unusual happens and that is not Best Buy! Thank you to OFFICE DEPOT for quality service.....we will return!
