They got a 1 star because I had to put something. They deposited my money into the wrong account. Told me IF it would have been done within 30 min they could have fixed it. How am I supposed to pay bills now.
Called back to tell me it was now fixed (but couldn't be supposedly) and then Rob the manager threatened me that he would personally close my accounts. Then made fun of me for being negative. DONT GO THERE EVER!!!

Hi! I just wanted to take the time out and acknowledge that the Branch Manager Rob is super amazing! He helped me opened my bank account in 2012 and I could not and refuse to work with any banker near me. Rob is always kind, courteous, knowledgeable, genuine, sincere, and he actually cares. Lets be honest, most banking institutions don't care about their consumers, but Rob is the only reason why I stayed with Rob. i wouldn't want anyone else. Granted, most 53rd employees at my nearest location are not the nicest, but it only proves that Rob loves his job and loves his customers! I hope and pray Fifth Third treats Rob well because if he goes then I go as well as my account! Thank you, Rob, for everything!

Possibly one of the worst Fifth Third branches I have ever been to. Slow service not convenient for opening new accounts.

I've had good expirences with 5/3 but my first time trying to file a fraud charge I'm sitting on the phone for over a half an hour just so far. Currently writing this while on phone.

I was trying to deposit some cash using the ATM and it would not take my bills no matter what. I've never had an issue with the ones in Lafayette or west Lafayette.

This might be long. But it deserves to be put out there. My fiancé and I recently went to the Rensselaer location. After calling them to ensure they could cash a check even though we weren’t account holders. But the check was a fifth third check. Farm bureau is a client. The lady over the phone told me since we have cashed checks there in the past they could cash the check. To come thru the drive through. When we got there she “couldn’t find us in the system “ said we needed a “profile” to cash the check. I said okay let’s do that. She said no we can’t do that through the drive through and the lobby is closed. Makes zero sense. Clearly annoyed, we decided to call our farm bureau agent. He 3-way called the bank. The lady didn’t know we were also on the line. She told him we REFUSED to come inside or make an appointment. Hmmm? NO. Never happened. We weren’t even told we could do that. The agent asked her why we would have any issues cashing a check for HIM the client. She finally said let’s make an appointment for tomorrow morning at 9am with Tom in the lobby and he can set up your profile. OK fine. We drove alll the way back in the morning. Called Tom as the bank doors were closed. He says he has NO idea of this appointment and has NO time for us today?! Seriously? Then after we go back and forth he says “tell you what go online and sign up and put your info in and then go thru the drive thru and we can cash the check” I said okay and we try to do so. There were NO options to create a profile only to open an account. We go to the drive thru he comes on the screen and says “did you do it?” I said I can’t find the “profile “ option. He says no I told you to open an account. I said NO I don’t want to open an account. We’re just trying to cash this check. He gets extremely mad and says well we don’t have enough money to cash this check. This is the FIRST time we are hearing it’s a money issue. So then he says I will call a couple banks to see if they have enough money and time to get you in today. He comes back and tells us a bank about a hour and a half way has the money and will help us. Then he states “but I will warn you it will cost HUNDREDS of dollars to cash this check” then says “if I were you I would just open the account like I said band save yourself money”Like I’m opening an account with this guy?! NO.So we leave. We call the WEST LAFAYETTE bank. Right way they say sure come on by. We go to the drive through. Literally takes 10 minutes. They make a profile for us. Cash the check. It cost $25 to cash it. TWENTY FIVE!!!! I couldn’t believe it.This TOM at Third Bank bank in RENSSELAER tried to intimidate us to open a bank account basically treated us like we were stupid. He needs to be held accountable. I have never seen such unprofessionalism in my entire life!!!!!!!

I have had an account thru this 5/3rd for over 7 years now. Have recently moved south and still bank with 5/3rd. Needing though to open up a credit card thru the Rensselaer branch but you can no longer do it thru the mail or phone. Has to be in person. But I am 3 hours away and it can not even be done with the help of my 5/3rd branch. I think this is so ridiculous. I do not want to have to change over checking accts due to automatic items. 5/3rd should be 5/3rd no matter where you are. Not helpful at all.
