Dr. Bader and staff took excellent care of my older two chiweinies. I'm very grateful! Other vets wanted thousands of dollars, Dr. Bader only charged me couple hundred. My pets were valued by compassion not money.

I took my dog on July 1 st who had blood in his eye and was falling due to his back legs was unable to hold him up. He was diagnosed with eye infection given ointment for his eye and prednisone. Then the falling was just old age. He got worse so I took him for a 2nd opinion. He had a huge tumor in his stomach and the blood in his eye was most likely due from trauma from falling. The falling was due from the pain and pressure of the tumor on his spine and nerves. Eye infection vrs a large tumor is a huge mis diagnosis

We have been going to Portland Vet Clinic for over 4 years now. Dr Bader and his staff are always exceptional to work with. Our pets love to go there. I would recommend this vet to anyone who is in need of one.

The techs are great.. the veterinarian himself not so much 27th of february he killed my best friend, because on the 26th he did not x-ray him.. have you gotten the X-ray he needed my dog would have been alive today, or at least got the chance he needed... And when I went to pay he had the audacity to say "we will chalk this up to things we missed"..

We were on our way to Portland for Thanksgiving when we were involved in a serious car wreck. Our tiny 15 year old Yorkie mix was in the car with us and my husband and I were injured. Relatives took him to a near by emergency vet (Dayton) who initially cleared him. That night when we were all back together he began showing signs of pain. We called Dr Bader, unfortunately he was out of town, but he moved heaven and earth and arranged to get us pain meds that night. With in an hour our dog was back to normal. He’s still got pain as we all do as we recover but the meds will get him through the drive back to South Carolina where he can be seen by our vet. Sooo much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving and not the least of these, Dr Bader. ?-All the best, Cammy, Todd, and Dude

Go there if you want a hack job for spay or neuter and to have them barbarically and haphazardly staple your dogs incisions. This is an archaic procedure. The older lady working the phones is often rude, unhelpful, and overall has no sense of people skills. They also rushed weighing our dogs who are visibly different in size, not just by scale measurements. They stated that our much bigger dog was the same weight as our very petite dog so one came home very doped up and the other one was very wired. The only pleasant experience was when they had to take the staples out because that tech was sweet. If I could give ZERO stars I would. We adopted them and this is who they sent us through. Never again. I will happily pay my vet to do any procedures moving forward if adopting through the same rescue.

Pay them to do teeth extraction on a cat that has been struggling. Blatantly lied and said he did what he was paid to do. Still was having problems and went to a different vet to discover that the Portland vet did not pull the teeth like he was paid to do. And then had a discussion with us cleaning he did the job.You just lost a long time customer and we have 15 animals that we take care of so you just lost out on a lot of money just for lying and stating that you did a job that you were paid for and did not do it.....

I find the office staff and doctor very friendly and helpful. I have trusted the care of my fur-babies to Dr Bader for years.
