Pharmacist is incapable of counting 30 days from July 10, 2023.Insists 30 days is August 10, 2023.Even after explaining there's 31 days in July, so 30 days would be August 9th, the smug, pompous, and rude Pharmacist said "no, 30 days is August 9th and I can't help you any further", then hung up the phone.

Hello again, Seems like my post keeps disappearing, might turn into a daily thing for me. Just a heads up to count your pain meds when you get home. Two occasions I was shorted 40 pills, they replaced them for me, but treated me like a liar and drug addict. If you fill before 5 am there is no one to count for a second time. Let's see how long this review stay here.

So I called the pharmacy 2weeks ago to fill a prescription. But first I need it to get transferred from another state. I'm thinking it's as easy as calling them and they automatically call my old pharmacist and get the prescription transferred. Oh no, Walgreens employees think we have their knowledge of how this process goes and tells me, "ok we'll get it done and call you when you're prescription is ready for pick up". So here I am, like I said 2wks later, and no medication. I remembered that I had supposedly gotten it transferred over and they said they'd call me back. I finally called back today and I was on hold for almost almost 20 minutes before I got hung up on. Frustrated, I called back and obviously a new person answered the phone so I gave them the information once again and and she put me on hold because I have to speak to the pharmacist directly. Apparently nobody else can transform medication just this specific person. While I'm holding for the pharmacist, for another 15 minutes, someone else picks up. I explained to them that I was on hold for the pharmacist. Finally he gets on the phone and as I'm provincia him with my information (name and D.OB) he asked... "what's your name and date of birth?" He I repeat myself and sure enough he needs to know the reason for my call. I repeat myself for the millionth time and now he wants to act like a complete a*** But doesn't want me to get an attitude back. I told him he didn't have to get sassy with me and he kept it up. He said he was trying to be a solution to the problem that he wasn't interested in listening to me or why I was upset. So I hung up! He called me back just to hang up on me lmao this guy is a fking joke. Yeah I was upset at this entire situation but seriously he didn't understand it wasn't to understand where I'm coming from. Ppl now a days take other ppls bs. I don't, I spend money on thing and services, I'd like to think that I can at least get decent customer service. Obviously I'm taking my business elsewhere. This Walgreens has horrible service. Don't spend your money here.

Horrible ! I just moved into the neighborhood and needed to get some meds . I used to get my medicine from Walgreens in hessville in Hammond and the service was decent. So this was My first ever time to get medicine at this Walgreens and I promise definitely my last . I have never experienced such horrible service at Walgreens. The pharmacist couldn't figure out how to fill a common antibiotic! I had to go back and forth with them for 2 hrs plus to finally get my medicine from them. On top of that they had the most rudest attitudes. Like it's my fault they couldn't figure out how to fill a simple antibiotic . I do NOT recommend this Walgreens just head to the one on us 6 in portage so MUCH BETTER.

This Walgreen's pharmacy location has gone completely downhill. As a caregiver for a patient with recurring seizures due to terminal brain cancer, this pharmacy is well below the experience and expertise needed for a patient with such unfortunate circumstances. For a nasal spray that helps reduce seizures, one has to have it ordered and wait, and wait, and wait. For anti-seizure medications, one has to have that ordered, too, and wait one day, two days, three days. Then of course, there's a convenient - sudden insurance issue. If there isn't an insurance issue, there's an authorization and fax issue that prolongs another day, two days, then you hit a weekend when no one is in an office. There are always, "3 callers ahead of you," and you're on hold for 40 minutes every time. People with serious health issues absolutely cannot play games with their health. Without medication like Keppra and doing one's job appropriately, a seizure could happen resulting in ambulance rides, hospital stays, and more medication changes from emergency room physicians that YOU... never have in stock. One could argue, "So? Go to a different pharmacy." This isn't a convenience issue, and other pharmacies do not accept the insurance for the person I caregive for. Believe me, we tried!

I went to this Walgreens on Central Ave. in Portage today to receive my Covid booster shot and was treated so rudely by the tech at the register and even worse by the tech who administered my shot. I felt as if I was a huge bother to them both! While waiting for my turn to receive my injection (1/2 hr. past my scheduled appointment time) I witnessed the tech being just as rude to other customers as they were to me. I will NEVER give this store my business again!

This place is absolutely ridiculous. Wouldn’t even give me a plastic bag to puke in unless something was purchased. They’re lucky my partner went inside and not myself, otherwise some lucky lad would have been cleaning up aisle 5. Disgusting people.

EVERY freaking time we have a script sent there they tell me it takes 30 minutes to get it. And when it doesn’t come they accuse you of sending it to the wrong one. Numerous occasions I have had to wait HOURS for my script to be filled. I’m not sure why being one of the largest pharmacies you are unable to get scripts right away that are sent to you. Smaller pharmacies have this capability. Sucks you are the only 24 hour pharmacy in town. This is why we moved all our scripts to Meijer and from now on, we’ll wait until morning when we can get to Meijer where they’re more competent.
