Nice Boardwalk. Visited at night to see the Northern lights but I didn't see anything. The view of lake Michigan was amazing at night.

Another awesome destination feature in the Indiana Dunes National Park. There are 3 parking lots along the access road, plenty of room for any size rig or RV. The visitor center and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. There's travel information at interior of the building adjacent to the flush toilet bathrooms. Beach and jetty access along with canal and dune grassland trails make this a must visit area. Bench seating, picnic tables and trash cans about the area. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming.

Toilets: Yes, flush toilets
Dog-friendliness: Leashed dogs are welcome
Picnic area: Yes, multiple locations

Beautiful view. Great for an outdoor adventure.
Toilets: There's a pavilion with restrooms available to use.
Picnic area: There's a pavilion that you can use with picnic tables and benches.

It was a good beach until you needed a park pass and they removed the one good thing about it, the dune in the middle now you can't climb it and I'm guessing a dumb toddler fell down so now they have to implement this dumb rule about endangered species bullshit back in 2022 I would say 8/10 but now its about a 3/10. PORTAGE FIX UR DAMN BEACHES.

It is a wonderful place to spend the day. Recommend getting a pass if going often. Small beach, get your spot early. A lot of long walking trails. Dog friendly.
