My husband and I hired Mel's Blossoms for our wedding in August and they did such an amazing job!!! Everything turned out beautiful and we received many compliments! They did everything from our bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, flower crowns, centerpieces, head table garland, and more! I cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work. They drove all the way from their store in Portage to Homewood, IL and came first thing in the morning the day of the wedding to set all the flower arrangements up! They also delivered the boutonnieres and bouquets to the bridal party at our hotel even! Everything went smoothly and was stress-free! I would definitely recommend Melissa and her team to anyone I know in the area if they want flowers for their wedding or special event!

Mel’s Blossom’s is absolutely my favorite go to to pick out flower arrangements for any occasion. She does beautiful arrangements for me every single time❣️ She also lets my creative side pick things out specifically and then she puts it all together for me. She is the sweetest! Went in for some flowers for a first date. Told them what my price was when they asked what I was looking to spend said 20 to 30 and they hit it out of the park. It looked like something you'd pay twice the cost for at other places. If I ever need flowers for anything in the future my first go to place.

Mel's Blossoms did a wonderful job. The flowers I ordered was a special arrangement for my aunt's funeral. The funeral was quick and I needed flowers that same day. Thank you so much for getting the flowers to the funeral. Everyone comments on how lovely they looked.

Ordered an Azalea Tree for mother’s day a week in advance to be delivered since I was going to be out of town.I got a call from my mom after it was delivered saying that a majority of the flowers were dead or in the process of dying. The tree also arrived in a small green plastic pot that was sitting inside of the decorative pot shown in the photo — they didn’t even bother actually putting the tree in the pot.I called the shop and explained and the lady was more than willing to swap out the tree for another they had in stock after hours (which is the reason I’m giving two stars instead of one). Upon stopping by, she had a new tree that was in far worse condition. She explained that it wasn’t bloomed yet on the phone, which was true — but it also had dead flowers and a dead stem. So reluctantly, my mom decided to keep the first one. After manually re-potting the tree and picking off a massive amount of dead flowers, the tree looks good. I just wish for $70+ that they would’ve put in the effort to make it look good instead of just saying “whatever” and delivering it with a bunch of dead flowers.Images attached. I was very disappointed and will definitely not be ordering again here, despite the kind lady who tried to make it right.Edit: Since the owner decided to respond, I'm updating my comment. According to my mom, you agreed that the plant you tried to swap out was in far worse condition when she said "That one looks worse."Also, on top of that, you run a business that charges $70+ for flowers meant for special occasions, so the fact that you decided to send a tree FULL of dead flowers on Mother's Day is a slap in the face, especially for the price. If you don't want to take time out of your Mothers Day, you could either:A) Make the flowers actually look decent when you deliver themB) Turn off delivery on Mothers DayAnd you also said that you put them in those pots for better drainage, which would explain why the plant arrived with bone-dry soil. This also isn't the first time we've received dead flowers from your shop.I was fair with my review and I was appreciative that you were willing to swap it out, but I don’t appreciate your unprofessional attitude at a valid complaint. You're a florist so you should take more pride in your work and not just send out half dead plants if you don’t want complaints. You know that you would be absolutely enraged if you paid that much for flowers for your mom and they arrived in that condition.

Not sure if I experienced what I think just happened. My mind is still trying to figure it out. I have never experienced anything like this before. I walked into this store to order Prom flowers that is the Saturday before Mother's Day. I was told they were no longer taking flower orders due to being at capacity for Mother's Day. Yet, this post clearly shows that they were still taking flower orders.
