Lance is a great talker. He should be a politician. Very convincing with his promises that he breaks. Constantly moving goal posts. My vehicle was there for 11 months. He left my dual plate clutch and flywheel in the rain for nearly a year. Yes, 11 months to install a custom cross member for manual to auto transmission swap. Also gear swaps front and rear. It does seem to work well in the end, but dealing with the constant broken timelines was agonizing. I had to cancel a trip. I wouldn't go back here if you paid me.

I took my car to Lance’s because people said they do good work and is trusted. I told him my limited slip differential in my car was making weird noises and I needed it inspected. They said the person that rebuilt my axle did not put friction modifier in so they flushed the axle refilled with friction modifier, and the correct fluid. I paid them and took my car. The problem eventually got so bad that I was not even able to drive the car anymore. When I took the axle out of my car and opened up the rear differential, it was obvious that they did not even take the cover off and inspect the differential like I asked. The torsion spring for the limited slip was not even in there, and the axle shafts were milling themselves away against the center kingpin that holds everything together. Just took my money and sent me down the road with both of my kids in the car and I’m luckily I caught the problem before my rear end exploded on the freeway and killed us all.

Theives!!! They wouldn't give me my keys before I paid for the job first, I have them the 2500, they brought the truck up to the door and guess what the truck couldn't make out of their driveway!!!! They refuse to help me saying they fixed it and it was a new problem DO NOT TRUST THEM

Lance is an absolute CROOK!! He will rip you off and REFUSE to honor the so called “warranty” he offers. He put bad parts in my differential rebuild and it didn’t even last a year. When I asked for his help to honor the warranty, he REFUSED!!!!. Now I’m out $1600 and have no way to get to work. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR MONEY!!!! He doesn’t care about you or whatever service you need. He just wants your money and WILL NOT give you what you pay for. I reported him to the Better Business Bureau and he didn’t even care. There is a REASON why he is NOT affiliated with the Better Business Bureau. PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THIS GUY & HIS EVIL BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!

I took my driveshaft to Lances on Friday they told me it would be done on Monday. Well Monday came and went I called at the end of the day they never called me back. When I finally talked to them they told me that it would be Thursday at the earliest. I make my living with my vehicle and I made that clear when I dropped it off. I called another shop right in front of them when I dropped the driveshaft off and they told me they could also have it done on Monday. They heard the whole conversation and never said hey we might not be able to get to it on Monday you might want to take it to another shop. So when they told me that it would not be done until Thursday at the earliest I had no choice but go back and pick up my driveshaft and take it elsewhere. I told them I would be there the next day as soon as they opened which I did. When I walked in the next day there was a driveshaft sitting on the counter so thought it was mine. At this point I was desperate to get my driveshaft repaired and get my truck back so I grabbed the driveshaft assuming it was mine. Well turns out that was not my driveshaft. The new company I took it to started to disassemble the driveshaft to rebuild it when they realized it was not from a Chevy which my truck was. So they called me and told me that wasn’t my driveshaft I drove straight there to pick it up and return it to Lances and get my driveshaft. At this point Lances figured out what had happened and called me and was as rude as you could possibly imagine. I explained to him exactly what happened but he was having none of it.I tried to explain to him if they would have just been honest with me and told me they couldn’t fix my driveshaft until Thursday I would not be in this mess. When I returned to exchange the driveshafts he had the nerve to change me $255 dollars for they piece they took apart. Of course he would not give me my driveshaft back unless I paid the $255 dollars. So needless to say I will never go back to this establishment. They lied to me up front and told me the work would be done on Monday and somehow that turned into Thursday. Then they turned around and charged me$255 dollars for something I didn’t even do. In my opinion these guys are nothing but con artist. Do yourself a favor and take your business to Action Machine in South Bend. They were amazing. They had my part done bright and early they next day. They were kind and honest. And they’re price was spot on.

Lance's Driveshaft & Components is the only place I go to for drivetrain parts and repair. Lance has rebuilt my 68 Camaro and 70 Chevelle rear ends and they've performed flawlessly. He and Mike are the best at what they do.
