I'm from the Metro Detroit area and have been in and out of liquor stores my whole life. I have never once been told I wasn't allowed to bring my child in to make a purchase. I walked in this place thinking I was going to grab some bottled water for my family, assuming it's like a party store in michigan. I am not so sure what is so different in Indiana but I got a few feet in the door with my kid and in front of everybody some idiot behind the counter yelled to get out and I wasn't allowed in with my kid. There are ways you do things and yell that out loud is ridiculous, however, like I said I'm confused because if kids can go into bars with their parents to eat then I'm not sure what the problem with taking them into a liquor store with you is. In the end I needed water and from the brief few seconds I was in the place, it didn't look like they had any water anyways. But the customer service from one employee was horrible I'm pretty sure most people would not leave their child in the car, especially in a place they have never been before and don't know about. Thankful for Michigan liquor stores.
