My car died while waiting for my son to finish basketball practice so, after a jump, I went to NAPA in Plainfield for a battery test. I needed a new battery and Eddie and Rachel helped me find the best one and even installed it. They don't typically do that, but I had my young boys with me and they wanted us to be safe. They were so kind and careful and I am truly grateful for their expertise!

I was met by Rachael, who asked if she could help. I was looking for NAPA brand glass cleaner. She said they were being sold at a "Buy One, Get One Free" offer. They were each priced at $5.29, so buying four would cost $11.32 with a 7% sales Tax. Instead, she said she just made each one $3.00, but then added tax on top of that price for a total of $12.84. When I called her to complain, she said she would gladly refund the difference of $1.52. It would cost me more in gasoline to drive back to her store and return home. So, I am not going to shop at the NAPA Plainfield, IN store ever again. In fact, all of my future automotive parts will be purchased from Auto Zone or O'Reilly Auto Parts.

I put in an online order for $95.54 for in store pickup. The email I received said the order was supposed to cost $95.54... But they charged me $100.32. I checked with my credit card and sure enough they charged me $100.32. So when I went to pick up the item I showed the employee their mistake asking if they could please fix it... And he said, "No, do you want the stuff or not." Well I needed the parts so I was told to contact customer service in corporate if I want to try to get my money back. In the receipt they printed out for me actually says I should have only paid $95.52, So the online receipt is different than the amount that they charged which is also different than the amount that they have on the receipt for the pickup. Incompetence at it's finest.

NAPA here in Plainfield, Indiana is a lot less expensive than the Advance Auto Parts store. Advance Auto Parts will charge retail price plus 50%. Get the Good Stuff at NAPA Auto Parts.
