The folks here are very nice. Shelter is clean. Animals are well cared for. Such a positive change came with the new management!

We found a very sweet addition to our family at PAWS. I highly recommend checking out all the adoptable pets they have available.

I adopted a puppy from paws. I noticed her and her siblings had a rash I was assured that they'd seen a vet and it was only a skin irritation. The rash worsened so we took her to the vet and was informed she had mange and now all my dogs need treatment. I called paws and they stated that it had nothing to do with them.

We are in the process of adopting a dog and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They really seem to care about the animals there. They let us come see the dog we are hoping to adopt as much as we like.

Terrible service. We put an application in to adopt a pup and were told all week long we were the first to put an application in and he is ours if his owner doesn’t come. We bought all the stuff for him the day before and all the sudden on the day we were supposed to get him we were told all the sudden had a application in before us and someone is coming to get him. My heart goes out to the pups there but we will not be wasting time with that place again!!

What compassion they have! While some discard animal life , it is nurtured and preserved.

They take the best care of these animals with hardly anything. It would be wonderful if the community could help this place out. They already have half the battle won with such caring and compassionate volunteers but to have some resources to help this place would benefit all the citizens of Pike Co.

Adopted 2 cats here back in November male and female. I was told they both were sterilized and could not get pregnant or get any cat pregnant. Turns out female was not spayed and I am now going to have a litter of kittens in a few weeks. This is very frustrating as I have spent $105 on a vet visit to be told she is pregnant and will have to spend over $200 to get her spayed 2 weeks after kittens are weened.

I got my first pup here in 2013 and second in 2014, they’re still alive and thriving. 4 stars because I remember in 2015 I wanted a third member and was continuously bothered by the owner for not neutering my second dog. I did not end up getting a third member but I appreciate their place for giving me healthy pups.

If you adopt, go straight to the vet for a checkup.
