terrible experience trying to process our loan and close our house on time. We experienced many delays due to mistakes made that could've been avoided which forced us to pick up their slack and fix it for them. unfortunately, it was our first home buying experience and it went terribly, but we fixed it and got it done. We almost lost our home in the process, but we finally saved it at the last second by working OT to do someone else's job. Will not return to this company for another house, at least not Pendleton branch with Brad.

Maria was so stellar. She was our first exposure to mortgage loans. She did such a great job educating us, giving us ideas, responding quickly (even making herself very available over the weekend), and completing our pre-approval in a snap so we could put in an offer on our ideal home.

In regards to my dealings with GVC Mortgage, I would like to say that I am very satisfied. I would especially like to give a shoutout to Maria Rothy, my motgagge loan originator. She was always there to answer any questions or concerns I had throughout the entire process. I cannot imagine having a more professional, caring person to lead and guide me in this overwhelming adventure. Maria was always available whether it by phone or email. I could always count on her to reply to me promtly. An added bonus is that she is a very friendly down to earth individual who puts your needs first. Maria you are AWESOME!!!

The loan officer was nice, but not particularly competent. I was sent an email with financial information that was meant for another client, which made me wonder who was sent my information. We had to provide the same paper work 3 or 4 times because no one was competent enough to read past the first page. So they kept asking for info that we had already provided. And they sold our information so we are now plagued with offers for mortgage insurance and home warranties through GVC.

Shady company. Used them for pre-approval and got to talking to a realtor and found out with my credit that I should not do an FHA, went through different company and got quotes for conventional and found out it’s a lower down payment and lower interest and way higher approval amount. (60k more) Turns out loan companies get more kickbacks for FHA loans. As a first time home buyer I’d hope the loan company would act as a fiduciary however GVC does not. Stay far away from GVC as they do not act in your best interest. They act in theirs to get more money. The lady specifically said we shouldn’t so conventional after asking. Terrible company don’t do it.
