Doc Bass and staff are always friendly and helpful. We've used them for years with livestock and my pups. My old man had a seizure last week and they were able to get him in the same morning. Short stay and some blood work, couldn't find a cause but the fact that they were so accommodating was extremely helpful! Thank you!

This place is terrible. I took my dog here and they were rude and condescending. I got an estimate for a service needed for my female dog and they were charging for services twice one for female and one for male and then they were adding things on there with slightly different wording multiple times. Overall they had so many extra thing on there it was up to almost 4 grand. Reading through the estimate they had 9 catheters on there worded a bit different, anesthesia was on there 5 times, the same labs were on there 3 times and they had so much more random stuff that just wasn’t necessary. I went to a different vet and the comparison between the estimates was insane. Same stuff but not triple charged for things. Terrible people for exploiting worried pet parents like this.

I can't thank Dr. Bass and staff enough for everything they did for our 2 yr old German Shepherd, Star. When her regular Vet could not get her in for almost a week, they saw her THAT DAY! She was so sick, diarrhea, vomiting, and passing blood, a lot of blood, through her bowels. She was already dehydrated, too. We were so scared. We had just lost our 14 yr old little Dudley week before, so we were really stressing. (He had not been well for a while. It was not the same illness as Star.) We did not want to lose another member of our family. After an exam and blood work, he diagnosed her with the problem. He gave her a couple of injections, prescribed several meds and sent us home, and said if it continued another day, she would have to come stay with them a few days for IV fluids. Thank God she started getting better. Needless to say, Dr. Bass is now our new Vet!

I wish I could give 10 stars! Dr. Bass, McKenzie & Cindy are wonderful! I have a very sweet but difficult pitty. McKenzie gets a workout with Lucy!! They are so good with her, take their time, engage with her, I could go on forever. They are good at explaining everything to you and answering any questions. The QUALITY of care you & your pet will receive at RLM is top notch!! I will not go anywhere else, ever. Thank you so much for treating my wild fur-child with so much professionalism, kindness and compassion!

Professional, knowledgeable and caring. Gave me very useful info on less known facts and behaviors. I took my pet fox in for shot and they were gentle and asked me so many questions about her. I've done research for a year prior to getting her and didn't know se important points. I'm taking my chameleon back and hopefully my dog too!

My family has done business with Dr. Bass for many years when we had livestock, and I thought he was good. Fast forward to now I found a orphaned baby raccoon sitting beside his deceased mom in the pouring rain on the side of the road. It broke my heart, and so I brought him home with me to get him taken care of. All the rehabbers around are and have been at capacity for babies. I contacted Dr. Bass's office to see if I could bring this poor baby in to get checked out and wormed along with shots it would need. Cindy sent me a very rude email and I mean RUDE email back telling me that they wouldn't see him. I even asked if they couldn't see him if they could point me in the direction of someone that could help. Nope nothing at all..I don't think they should advertise that they CARE FOR ALL ANIMALS EVEN EXOTIC IF THEY DONT . I mean this is a baby that is maybe 4 weeks old and they can't help. Heck I'm the one paying for everything out of my pocket for a wild animal because I have a heart and compassion for all of God's creatures but humans are dwindling away on my list fast. You would think that if you were in the animal medical field and a animal needed help that you would help no matter what species it is. Do better veterinarians.

WHAT DO I DO? This kitty disappeared Wednesday. I assumed he became a coyote snack like his sister. Survival of the fittest when you live in the country. The kitty came hobbling to the house today crying so loud. I picked him up and looked to see why he was hobbling and crying and found his front leg had been cut off leaving only the bone exposed as seen in the picture. Farmers bush hogged Wednesday and I am prettyhe got caughtin the mower blades. I bathed him in hibiclens soap to get the smell of death off of him and removed the cockaburrs. I thought I might be able to do something myself to fix him. It wasn't bleeding. When I seen the green and black tissue I knew it was far beyond my realm of knowledge. I wrapped him in a towel. Held him in my arm as I drove to pick up my granddaughter. She held him on our drive to North Vernon. I stopped at the first vet we came too. Vetenary Services . I told them I had no money nor a job but would be willing to work off charges by doing anything they needed done at their facility. They completely turned me away and would even charge me to euthanize him but not without payment before hand. By this time the soap I used to clean his wound was bringing maggots to the surface of the wound from between the muscle tissue and skin in 1 place. I layed him on the counter and dug as many out as I could see with my fingernails. The desk clerk got so pissed. I asked where else I could go for help or give me a humane way to euthanize him myself. She said she wasn't able to refer me nor give advise. My granddaughter and I got back in the car and drove to the next vet. jennings, By this time I was getting a little emotional. I told the receptionist at jennings Veterinarian the same as I told RLM. These people were wonderful sympathetic and kind. By this time maggots were trying to get out the entire diameter of his wound. FYI. Maggots obviously do not like hibiclens soap. The Veterinarian came out after a quick look at him. She said the kitty could be saved with amputation of the protruding bone and removal of infected tissue. There would be no charge to me. All I had to do was sign custody over to the clinic. When he is well, he will be given to a loving forever family.

Our baby boy Stokley was dying so we took him to Dr. Bass, even though he's not the vet we use. They still came out to check on our baby, even though I knew he had past away. They performed an autopsy for us to figure out what happened. Stoka died from one of the silent killers Dr. Bass said, he was bleeding from his liver and we didn't know it. It hasn't made our loss any easier, but it's easier to know we didn't do anything wrong for our baby boy Stoka. RIP to our baby. Thank you for all that y'all did for us RLM Veterinary Services.
