I stopped into Kinney Dancewear and was super pleased. Perfect location! I was warmly greeted by Leslie as soon as I walked in. The store is beautifully organized and easy to shop. This is the place to go for all things dance, gymnastics and gifts too.

Honestly, I don’t like giving negative reviews, but I really didn’t appreciate the service I was given today. After I paid for tap shoes, I asked when they would likely come in and the response was, “I don’t have a crystal ball, so I can’t know.” I suppose I assumed she would have some type of idea, because I’m not interested in paying $50+ on tap shoes and maybe not get them for months. She refunded my money, not sure what I did or said to be treated negatively.

The older lady at the Hazel Dell location needs to be fired. Myself and several other people have had issues with her rude behavior. She clearly does not like young children and possibly not even people period. She wouldn’t stop overstepping obvious boundaries. A few other people I know dealt with rude behavior from her themselves. This is unacceptable. Heckling and talking down to customers is never ok. Be professional and kind. That’s not a tall order. I try to avoid this shop at all costs because I want my children’s dance shopping experiences to be fun and memorable…not uncomfortable and upsetting.

We took our daughter up here to get new leotards. The pricing was reasonably priced. Very good quality. Good selection. Very happy that my daughter found two outfits right away.

Went there for daughters tap and ballet shoes and the staff was so helpful ~~ upon arrival you can write your name down and therefore if it is busy they call your name and provide individual service to help get exactly what shoes / gear you need as required by the dance studio. They are so familiar with what every place requires students have so it was very valuable to make sure we were purchasing the correct item. Very easy process and very friendly. Highly recommend.

Not very helpful on two occasions. On Saturday the person helping my daughter try on shoes seemed to forget she was helping her.
