It's a great store except for the management. That could use a lot of work.

I was shopping last night with my daughter, I had a cart FULL of groceries. As I’m shopping, the manager made a point to follow me down every single isle. At first I didn’t think anything of it, but I started to purposely zig zag in isles & sure enough here she came. She was at my hip down, even cutting in my view of things. Then as I’m checking out, she ran up to the front & stood next to the cashier watching me as I checked out. I had $130 in groceries with 2 jugs in my bottom rack. After I paid I realized I didn’t ring up the 2 jugs in the bottom of my cart, so I said hey I need to pay for these as well & THE MANAGER STANDING THERE - NOT THE CASHIER SAID “As long as you realized it before you walked out” So in other words she wasn’t going to remind me of the two items at the bottom of my cart, she was anticipating that I walk out with them & not pay, I have never stolen anything from this store. I am a local of this town and do not appreciate being treated like a criminal when I’m spending over $100. I will be calling corporate over this matter, I felt entirely violated being followed like that all the way up to the point of check out. Do you get paid enough to treat people so poorly? Does DG condone discrimination? I was dressed in an outfit that cost more than her prescription glasses sitting on her face but yet she’s treating me like a criminal? This store is a joke just like most of the people in this town. If you aren’t from this cousin loving land they make sure to treat you as an outsider. Weirdos.I did get the managers name as well as the cashiers & this has all been sent to corporate. I will continue to push until something is done. Rest assured all I have is time & energy to dedicate to making sure this is handled. Consumers shouldn’t be treated like criminals, but for what it’s worth to be in your 30s managing a DG speaks volumes as to where you’re at in your life.

One of the best stores in our area. Everytime I come in here it’s pleasant and welcoming. Tonight I witness two ladies endure one of the most rude men I’ve ever seen in a public place and they both handled it with with such grace. I fully expected them to take up for themselves in some way but both ladies kept cool and collected, he slammed his cart towards the counter and started screaming obscenities and both ladies were so calm. I recognized one from the Hanover store and another from Jeffersonville so I assume they’re both higher ups but if not THEY NEED TO BE! Thanks DG for hiring such great folks!

Nice people but the store has really gone downhill. Went today and half of the coolers weren't working and boxes were sitting all over the place. A few years ago it was my go to place but now I end up heading to Charlestown.

Can't pay thier employees or people in the town enough to keep the store open on a Friday night past 7pm.... you think it'd be worth it instead of missing out on all the business but they'd rather close the doors than pay anyone more than enough to get by and $12 an hour is not enough to get by these days!!!

Dirty and disorganized. Stuff thrown everywhere to the point that even the emergency exit is blocked.
