I walked in a few minutes before closing to grab a few things, they reminded me of their closing time, and of course. I get it, they want to go home, and I’m not trying to keep them past. But when the time hit for them to close, instead of just telling me they couldn’t serve me, which would have been perfectly fine. I would have been a bit upset, but it would have been my fault for running past their closing time. My problem is that the staff lied to me and told me their drawer pops out at 9:00 P.M and it doesn’t allow them to ring anyone out. I’ve worked retail for a long time before this and it’s never worked like that at any of my positions, and from looking it up online I saw recounts of other employees stating that their management tells them to do this to get people out of the store. I don’t care that they couldn’t ring me up. Big deal, I’ll go to Walmart. But this was nothing worth lying over. Just tell people you can’t serve them once closing time hits. Other than that, their selection and everything else about the store is fine.
