I began losing Internet service intermittently. This happened for several days. I called Mainstream and was transferred to someone (Nick) in the tech department. He was able to remotely update the firmware for my units. I have experienced no further interruption of service. Pleased!

I’m going to have to start this review by saying I can’t make a review based on speeds but on the business itself and the lack of communication and accountability. I have been promised this internet since April and it is now the end of October and I’m still waiting. I was originally told it would be installed within 45 to 60 days and when that timeline was up I had to call and get an update. I was then told it wouldn’t be until August 28th which was 4 months vs the originally quoted 45 to 60 days and I would have never known if I didn’t call. Fast forward to August 28th the internet was still not completed. I called multiple times and nobody seemed to know anything about what was going on. I was then quoted the end of September because the crew had to take “two” days off for the heat. Not sure how that resulted in nearly one month of service loss but that’s all I was told. Which brings me to this week. The internet has been zoned properly and I’m going to skip the part it took Mainstream 3 weeks to call 811 when I was originally quoted 2…. I then had to contact once again which at this point the team seems irritated every time I call just to get put on the schedule for service. I was put in the schedule for this past Tuesday October 17th for lines, Wednesday the 18th for splicing, and the following Monday the 23rd for final completion. The team came and ran my lines to the house on Tuesday but I never saw the splicer on Wednesday. I never received a call so around 3pm on Friday I decided to call again myself just to talk to an installer in office who very rudely advised that I just need to be patient and he will be out there that day. 15 minutes after that conversation I was called back by the same lady who had talked to the splicer and the splicer told her that he would need an additional two business days. No reason why and no communication given so now my date has moved to Thursday the 26th. I was told she had to give another two days even though she had no idea why or for what reason (keep in mind she is the scheduler and should know) meaning she couldn’t get me on the schedule until Wednesday and Wednesday was already booked which lead me to Friday. I had seniority over everyone as I was promised the internet for months but because the field crew (according to corporate) didn’t install a cabinet before running services, I the consumer has to suffer with again nothing but a promise of a free month when or if they ever do decide to run the internet and no resolution. I shut my current internet off on the promise that it would be done and receiving multiple emails and calls confirming it to be true and now it’s delayed again. I work from home for a very big corporation and under the associate director of that company herself. My job heavily relies on internet which I have now had to make other arrangements for. I’m still not convinced it will even be done by Thursday and at the mercy of people who don’t seem to know how to do their job at all. It only makes me more nervous when I do have internet if I’m already having this much of a headache. There is no way I would promise my boss a deadline and not stick by my word. If it wasn’t done I know for a fact I would have to give some sort of reason why it wasn’t done and if that is being done in this company then it’s not being communicated to the consumer which makes it really bad for business.

I am so impressed by this company. I recently, moved back to this area after living in many states: Michigan, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, South Carolina, and North Carolina. My realtor referred me to this company as she's has them as their provider. Thus far, I am really impressed. An extra "shout out" goes to Karen in Dispatch for her superior customer service. It is so refreshing to see that customer service is still alive!

The very worse website to see what Mainstream offers for the price. Has a promotion that last 12 months then reverts to regular price but does NOT tell you what regular price is. I was looking to upgrade to a larger service but could not find the pricing. My 3 year contract has expired so I am not limited to this service.

Get outage and have no support. Apparently I see on fb that alot people without. Why? How can you report when the number they give you just hangs up on third ring. Not a very good business..right now

Tried contacting technical support numerous times. My call was hung up every time. Unable to reach anyone with technical support when I had technical issues on a service that is paid for.

They only offer yearly contracts instead of month by month payments which we were lead to believe initially. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I don't wish to be in a contract for 1 year or 2 or 3. I wish to have it every month and be able to get rid of it any time.

I have had Mainstream fiber for a month now and I must say they have been a pleasure to work with from day one. They made the installation process very easy and the customer service had been outstanding. Also after 17 years of low speed DSL I am more than happy with our new fiber network. Thanks Mainstream.

Even though Mainstream was months on burying the fiber the technicians, who made the installation, were courteous, knowledgeable and pleasant. I am so pleased to be rid of Spectrum! My service is great and the price is even greater!

Had a great experience with Mainstream. Very courteous installers that answered all of my questions. Customer service is great…any issues or questions I had were addressed and resolved quickly. Would highly recommend Mainstream…great internet service!!

Service on the phone did an amazing job keeping us informed. However, the man that came into our home to place the router did a terrible job. He didn’t measure anything, the plate and box on the house is completely crooked. Completely inexperienced and unprofessional. This is our home and he did not care a single bit on the job her performed.

Subscribe to standard 50mb plan. Have had ZERO issues. Router has yet to even require a power off. Strong wifi with included router modem combo. Can recommend Mainstream Fiber highly!
