“I had a check engine light fire a sensor that after trowing would intermittently return. Could not figure it out myself. Ton of to M&M Car Care in Merrillville for a diagnostic. They called the next day and told me it was repaired. They found a broken wire on the wiring harness for that sensor. I wish I would have just gone to them 1st so I didn't waste money and time replacing a good sensor myself, but lesson learned. The staff was great. From now on I'm just going to them in the first place.”

“Like many other reviews, I as well spoke to Kara who was very knowledgeable. Another shop diagnosed my SUV as needing a complete rebuild. Kara said let's take a look because it may not need a complete rebuild. She was absolutely right! Torque converter and some programming. I saved so much by choosing K&M by a friends recommendation. “I've been having issues with my car and the exhaust. I took it to Larry and he scanned my car, diagnosed the issues, fixed my exhaust while staying 2 hours after closing on a Saturday to fix the exhaust for $60!!!! He explained to me the issues and ordered parts for the next repair which he also gave me a very reasonable price for and guidedme as to which issue we need to tackle next!!! “I have an 07 Mitsubishi Outlander that was having challenges with shifting gears and moving forward. The transmission would not change gears, and it would stop moving after a few feet. My suv had a transmission leak , in which all of the transmission fluid came out, (among other transmission related issues) and a radiator leak also. So after researching and seeing the great reviews at M & D, I decided to have my car towed there from the city to get it assessed and repaired at M and D…. Despite not going there before for any car repair services. It was the best decision I made for my car. Mark and the crew did a phenomenal job repairing my car without needing to replace the transmission , and it drives and shift gears better than when first purchased the car… and the even better part …is that they did it all at a very reasonable price.Thanks M & D for getting me back on the road smoothly and safely!”
“I've been going to Vic's for five or so years now. He only advises what really needs fixed and checks it over. I won't trust my car to anyone else. His rates are reasonable and his wife and him are very friendly. I teased them about not recommending them anymore because it gets harder and harder to get in there. It's totally because of his service he offers. He is also good about telling you where to go for other things he doesn't work on. If you want a good job at a reasonable price pick Vic's.”
“i had been doing all of my auto repairs myself. now that i am over 70 years old and have bad knees and a bad back i guess i should trust someone else to do it. I drove around the area and talked to several repair shops. then i thought since i have purchased tires from Lynwood firestone for many years i would talk to tino. just so happens one of my wheel bearings was going bad. so i took it to lynwood firestone and asked for a quote. I talked to tino for awhile and liked his knowlege and professionalism and decided to give him a go at it. they did a great job. They handle all my maintenance and repairs now. I highly recommend them.”

“You know I have never had a fantastic experience like this before, or a most honest mechanic and owner as I did in Harold at Widco transmission. I took our mountaineer in to have my transmission rebuild and Harold called me a week later to let me know it wasn't the transmission at all. It was a problem with the drain plug and a crack. He fixed the crack changed the fluid out and fixed the drain plug. He saved me hundreds of dollars. I bless you Widco and thanks so much Harold for your utmost honesty. “Rebuilt trans and new torque converter in my 02 Cherokee almost a year ago. Had to go back once due to minor shift cable linkage problem. Definitely wasn’t the cheapest option but it is one of only few places that still rebuilds transmissions and offered a year warranty. If you get a check engine light for tcc or notice any problems shifting in your jeep, get new torque converter and checked out right away. The converters are known for breaking apart and then damaging your entire trans. Learn from my mistake.”

After examining my vehicle Joe suggested, because of what he found I take my vehicle to Mastertech for repairs which were not transmission related and come back to him for a transmisson flush. I followed Joe's instructions, got those repairs done and went back to Joe for his service. Now my vehicle is riding like a new vehicle. I'm very pleased and would recommend his services for anyone who needs his services. I previously went to another shop that stated I needed a new transmission and quoted a price of $6500.
